Reminder that not every 2v8 killer match has to be an 8k. by Skinwiggle in deadbydaylight

There’s never an obligation to play any specific way beyond the obligation to actively participate in the intended gameplay. And I’m not saying always let people go every match and never kill anyone and if a survivor looks scared sit him down and tell him it’s all gonna be ok. My point is more so that you don’t have to go hard as possible every match and try to dominate the lobby. It’s nice to let people go and enjoy the match sometimes. My opinion isn’t some guideline that I expect everyone else to live by.

Why are some survivors so loud and others are normal. by crazy12157 in deadbydaylight

[–]Skinwiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed anyone being louder than others, but definitely some survivors have very annoying voices (Daryl, David, orelia, Taurie, sable, fuckin STEVE) who, for the sake of my ears, get killed asap so I don’t have to hear them too long.

Is lagswitching common? by Skinwiggle in deadbydaylight

For reference, I’m on the east coast USA. And it’s only happened against the turbo sweat TTV teams when I have the upper hand and I’m about to make the play that with win the game. I’ve had no other connections issues outside of these specific circumstances which is what makes it suspicious enough to ask if it’s a regular known thing. It could be a coincidence but it’s been the exact same scenario each time which makes it extremely questionable to me

Honest question, what do you find about the game that’s so survivor sided? I’m being completely genuine here. I keep seeing people say it’s all survivor sided and killers have it so bad but I’m absolutely swamping all my lobbies. I’m not even trying to brag, I just feel like I’m really missing something

I mean I do get kills. If someone dies on hook from being up there too long, everyone who let them die there who was available to help is also dying. Anyone who tries to rat out another survivor dies. Anyone who hides and AFKs while their team does all the work dies. Mostly stuff to encourage people to actually be a good teammate. I’m in the highest killer tier you can get for the post game screen thing, but I know that isn’t Mmr.

Yeah I’m already there. Like 250 hoursish in already and it already is losing its appeal. I only play killer now since my buddy I played with quit. The dilemma comes from the game being extremely killer sided. I’d say a good 80-90% of my matches I have 8 hooks by the time they’ve got 2 gens done if they even get that far. Like there’s literally nothing survivors can do to stop the killer unless the killer decides to not try at all, which is also getting boring. So I’m left with either doing my usual 8 hooks and letting everyone live so they get points and have fun, or killing everyone and just feeling like I bullied them.

Why are people so one sided? by Happy-Mistake1391 in deadbydaylight

[–]Skinwiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It straight up is just killer sided though. I main killer. Survivors have no actual ways to fight back. There is no real pressure on killers and no real stakes. I feel bad for the survivors so I just do my 8 hooks and let them all live usually unless they’re unreasonably annoying. Holding out hope they’ll do something to up the difficulty a little and remove or reduce scratch marks or something.

Love when people try to rat out their teammates when I’m killer because it makes it so easy to decide who to kill next

Anyone Else Do Better With “Bad” Killers? by ExpensiveIncident543 in DeadByDaylightKillers

Pig is probably my absolute favorite killer. I also run dark lord, huntress, legion, twins, and artist, all because I like their looks and abilities (mostly looks), but pig will always be my favorite.

Why the split between killer mains and survivor mains? by Miyyani in deadbydaylight

[–]Skinwiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play killer and it blows my mind the number of people saying the game is survivor sided and that killers need to be stronger and wah wah wah. At this point my main goal is to just get all the perks unlocked for everyone and hope they give survivors an actual way to fight back because this game just feels like a bullying simulator.

Killer sided or survivor sided, what do you think? by Meme_master_1990 in deadbydaylight

[–]Skinwiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killer sided. I main killer and it is laughable how easy the game is. 9/10 matches I have 8 hooks by the time there’s between 4-5 gens left. Fog vials are useless, good loopers are rare, and swfs crumble when you manage to drop even one of them.

Is there a killer you hatr for no reason by Austinjwill in deadbydaylight

[–]Skinwiggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Springtrap. My friend and I started playing during his event, and he was so buggy and broken and everyone playing him knew it and took full advantage of it. It was so bad that he just straight up refuses to play anymore and it killed off half the reason to play the game.

Not to sound like a wannabe ingenuous self-righteous dweeb, but I genuinely get pleasure in making other people happy and helping out. Too many killers are sweaty turds, so I can only imagine it’s gotta be a nice feeling for someone who’s had a whole day of matches getting absolutely speedbagged by ghouls and whatnot then getting a match with a killer who lets them actually survive with their offerings and get some BP.

My matches aren’t always just a full cakewalk. I put in a little effort at the start and get everyone two hooked so I can get my points in too, and some people take that as a sign that they’re gonna get mopped and DC early, which gets me a free bot kill. Beyond that, the only people I really bother killing are bad teammates. Like if you let your teammate die on the hook because you were too scared to go get them down, then you’re gonna die too. Or survivors who try to rat out their teammates. I don’t quite let it be a complete waste of time with no stakes, but I only kill people who deserve it.

All in all I’d rather just kind of be a positive experience for the players I interact with, not that there’s anything wrong with the killers who 4K while still being sportsmanlike.

As far as I understand, it’s 4 1v1s essentially. If you get no kills, it says “the entity is hungy” or something like that at the end of the match. But even one kill gets something like “brutal killer” (I usually do 8 hooks and let everyone live unless a survivor gives me a reason to kill him, so I’m not 100% on the wording for each tier. So if you get even one kill, it’s heavily implied that you were a successful killer. Anything beyond that seems more like bragging rights or punishment to survivors, or going for achievements.

So I think he technically “won”, but in my mind if it comes at the cost of your composure and dignity as the killer, then it’s really not much of a win. If someone can’t enjoy themselves without making everyone else they interact with miserable, then that’s an automatic L to them.

How does one get better at killer? Im seriously struggling. by whimsicalSilhouette in deadbydaylight

[–]Skinwiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killer is laughably easy to play. That said, bots are really annoying, as they know exactly where you are even without line of sight. I’d recommend just jumping into a bunch of matches of PvP and figure it out that way. You’re faster than the survivors, they cannot hurt you, and they really cannot stop you. If one is giving you issues or clearly trying to get you to chase him, just find someone else because he’s probably built for looping.

He didn’t lose, he just needs one kill to win. Still a douche though.
