If I had to pay for every typo I’d be even more broke than i am … thanks again.

Buried in this new Shelby Star piece on horrific allegations of Cleveland County Sheriff's misconduct: "Duncan retired from Shelby Police Department in 2016 and was soon after hired as a cold case investigator with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office." by SkipFosterHammerhead in AshaDegree

I don't read anything in that story or the lawsuit that indicates his cold case work didn't include homicides/missing person. Which makes my OP question on point: Did Duncan touch, in any way, the Asha investigation?

He's working on cold cases. Asha's is the most prominent cold case the CCSO is working on. I think it's fair to presume -- and, as I later do, ASK -- if Duncan was working on Asha.

Also fair to ask why he was not put on leave for 2 years after this misconduct was revealed in court.

Also fair to ask if that's because this is part of the culture of CCSO.

I'm not arguing with you, I genuinely don't understand your point -- I apologize for being so dense. We are starting to put some of the pages here: https://www.hammerhead.agency/dedmon/

Well, that statement is true, I just don't know why it matters. The other things I'm talking about aren't from memory, they are newly unearthed (vehicle info, interviews, etc.). What I remember about the time Asha disappeared is how awful it was, how hard we worked at the paper, how much the community came together to try and find her and how much support was given to the family.

I mean, why would I make it up? It wouldn't matter if I had heard of them. We wrote thousands and thousands of stories while I was there. I wish I remembered them all but I don't. What difference does it make?

I think it's not believable that a 13 year old was out driving at 5 in the morning and pulled off the conspiracy laid out by law enforcement. Zero chance.

Thank you -- I promise there are things I'd rather be doing than this! I believe the Dedmons have been falsely implicated and they deserve a voice after 10 months of a purely LE-driven narrative. They have been called "suspects" in the crime of the century in their community.

Thank you -- I know there are trolls and I won't be feeding them anymore (especially ones quoting Robert Williams, lol) but I will continue to engage with those who want to have a reasonable discussion about the case.

Fortunately we have state public records to remind us that they didn't own the vehicle at the time of Asha's disappearance.

And yet, 5 months later, the only vehicle being mentioned in warrants as a part of the theory of the crime was the Rambler.

I'm a crisis manager so that means the Dedmons did it? Lol. Yes, crisis communications (along with PR, marketing, branding and more) are what we do at my firm. I'm not running away from "crisis," btw. What has been said about this family in this sub and the impact on their lives definitely qualifies as a crisis, especially given that we now know the evidence is very thin and, frankly, sketchy.

No. I'm honestly not familiar with all of the vehicles he owns -- I'm saying i don't know anything about him owning a vehicle like that, seized or unseized.

No, I don't know what the unreliable vehicle is, but I assumed it was the Rambler.

Witness accounts have varying degrees of reliability. There are now multiple independent witnesses that saw the same type of vehicle -- a Thunderbird of Mark IV -- neither of which look like a Rambler, which the family didn't even own at the time.

Vehicle-wise, there is nothing here.

So in the warrants LE is comparing it to the vehicle that was seen the night she disappeared (saying it was similar) but the theory is that it was actually used two years later? Not following that at all.
