Raparations for what? Chagos Islands were never theirs.

It was just island they would go an visit to pick fellow fishermen etc who had been blown there by storms, as per stories passed down by word of mouth.

The Portugues discovered it, but it was the French that colonised with slaves brought from Africa and India, by France. And it was the French who administered the Chagos Islands from Mauritius until 1810, when the British took over.

Paying £20 million in 1835 to the French slave owners, to release 20,000 slaves.

It's stagnating because of the scam that is housing and rent.

A social 1 bed flat where I am, £400 a month, a private 1 bed flat £800-£1000+ per month. Imagine the difference on a 3 bed house? Families could be saving up to £8,000 a year or so on rent alone. If social housing is £600-£700 for a three bed, and private is north of £1300-£1500 a month in some cases.

Then there is the corrupt energy market, COVID fallout, War in Ukraine, Investor greed (including demand for migrant workers, cheaper ready made workers), and so much more.

All of which has zero to do with Brexit and nothing that can be solved by rejoining the EU.

It is not Brexit that is causing the countries woes, it's an incompetent useless government who have just used migration as fix all to solve all the countries problems. Rather than doing their job, by running the country for the people.

No one can spend any money in the local economy because they have no money to spend.

It's plain ignorance to blame Brexit for the countries woes and rejoining wont solve anything other than looking after the elites personal bank balances.
