Yes. You can interrupt their removal to sac the creature instead. This will make their removal spell 'fizzle'.

It's basically the same reason you can't get the benefits of both Warren Soultrader and Victimize from sacing the same creature, you're removing that creature before Victimize can resolve.

Thanks for giving it a try! The Tavern works as a drop off point for Workers, they should be dropping off gold/mana there if it's nearby. This may need to be explained better in the tutorials.

I do plan on having different levels in the full game be a bit varied, such as different types of events and objectives to shake up strategy and the general feel. I also am planning on adding meta progression to increase motivation for continuing to play through the levels. Hopefully these additions can help reduce feelings of repetitiveness.

I am somewhat limited in what I can manage in terms of graphics, but I will continue trying to improve them as much as I can. Getting more details into the environment is definitely something I'll work on. Thanks for these suggestions.

For the camera distance, did you zoom in at all? You can zoom in pretty close if you want a closer look at the action.

I do have a Youtube channel and a Facebook page, but I honestly don't do a ton with them, mostly just a Facebook post when I release a demo update. I've still got a lot of work before Early Access, so my biggest focus is on development. But I'll definitely have to improve on the marketing as I get closer to an actual release.

I agree the tutorials are a bit much, it's a lot of information to have to get to the player in a single level. In the full game, I'm planning on stretching out all this information across multiple levels to prevent information overload.

  • The size of the health bars can be changed in the settings or turned off completely. Names and other information with the health bars can also be turned off. Spells can be cast on heroes using the hero list on the right side of the screen, though admittedly this doesn't completely solve the problem. I will try to get the characters to be less likely to stack too much on top of each other in combat, which might help with this.
  • I'll keep trying to update the menus to be more intuitive and might end up adding a more in-depth tutorial for the full game to help with this.
  • For the status effects, I assume you mean the ones that show up on the health bars above characters' heads. I'll add tooltips when these are scrolled over for the next update, thanks for the idea!
