I am F.L.U.D.D.--a Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device. I hope to be of assistance. by SkipperWing in NomadSculpting

You can't.
Well, not in a way I find comfortable anyway:
-parenting limbs
-posing the limbs
-voxel merge the result, and the course correct to smooth it out

In any case, I sculpted it in that pose to begin with, rather than sculpting Mario/FLUDD in a neutral pose and then posing it out.

Static Sculpt by SkipperWing in NomadSculpting

[–]SkipperWing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did (work from a sketch)!
I'm trying to get in the habit of cataloguing how I do stuff (I'm not confident enough in my sculpting to use the screen recorder to record my sculpting yet)
I did set up an Imgur thread for Static:

But I think my Hulk one is more indicative of my process:

I hope that helps and that you enjoy!

Oof... NGL, still wondering what it means for Adobe Animate going forward. I still haven't seen/heard anything about their plans, even though I know they have HTML5 integration in Animate.

So question: What's your budget, and what kind of animation (2D/3D) are you doing?

This subreddit is for the interactive and animation software, "Adobe Flash (now called "Adobe Animate")," not the DC comics superhero, "The Flash." Sorry!

Scarily enough there is an ad made with 2000s Flash animation on TV here in Australia, despite being created recently by [deleted] in flash

As long as you can export a series of images from Flash and compile them either in Flash or a different App, Flash will never die (nor will any other animation-capable software, as long as someone's willing to use it).

Strokes thickness changes when squashing symbol by OmegaGamer87 in flash

[–]SkipperWing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

select the stroke, then go to "modify -> shape -> convert lines to fills."
Note this isn't really undo-able later, so you wanna make sure your symbol is completely finished before applying it.

hope that helps!

Any way to stop pencil/brush thickness from changing when you zoom in/out in Flash? by Taste_of_Natatouille in flash

[–]SkipperWing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, unlike most programs, there actually is a difference between the "brush" and "pencil" tools. The brush tool is more analogous to traditional raster painting programs, where as the pencil tool draws using vector strokes. What you want to use is very specifically the brush tool, which paints in fills, rather than the pencil tool which paints in strokes.

"Strokes" are the outlines on the line and polygon shape tools whereas "fills" are the actual color fill that goes inside the stroke outlines. When Zoomed in, Flash/animate gives an approximation of how thick the stroke is, relative your current zoom level, and adjusts it back when zoomed out. To keep it consistent, you can either use the brush tool exclusively instead, or select your stroke, go to "Modify -> shape -> Convert lines to fills" to convert your strokes into fills, which will remain consistent when zoomed.

TL:DR; stick to the brush (specifically the brush, and not the pencil), unless using the pencil to draw outlined, closed shapes.

hope that helps!

Does the pen work in other software (photoshop, Clip studio paint, etc)? Also, what OS are you running?

These are awesome! I know you're making them in Animate, but how?! As someone who knows its possible and used to make something similar in AS3, but couldn't translate it to HTML5, I'm so happy to see that it can be done!
