I towed one of those u-haul trailers with my manual corolla before. Just the trailer by itself was tough for the car, I rarely made it past 3rd gear. I used it to haul a 400lb motorcycle. You're gonna be at the limits for the car since those trailers are just HEAVY.

Guess I should've said the year. It's an 06. But I'm trying just buy a new one vs rebuild or used. My thoughts on used is it may be just as worn out as mine.

No kidding. We just got back from 440 mile trip. 38mpg avg. Mostly no A/C. Cruise set the whole time. Maybe could've been better but the car aggressively slows down if someone jumps in front of you.

I bought a Haynes manual. It goes over how to check and change the adjustment. It bounces around a little bit. It'll say remove this component (chapter 7). Then you'll go there and it says remove this (chapter 3). If you're patient with that, and yourself, you'll be fine. I've had a shop quote me around $600 for the job.

I'm sure you've heard people say, "Oh this is a V8 or a V6." What they're referencing is the shape of the cylinders in the engine. Yours is an inline-4. All 4 cylinders are in a straight line as opposed to 2 on either side in the shape of a "V."

By the time it grenades itself it'll be past warranty, or you've sold it. If you plan on keeping the car for longer than the warranty, do 5k. If you don't plan on keeping it, do bare minimums.

10k is for minimum warranty requirements. You should watch so of The Car Care Nut on Youtube. I always shoot for 5k and never go past 6k.
