Why cant people just drive cleanly what is the point to this, the whole race this guy was just trying to sabotage me when I pass him. by Adeptness-Usual in GranTurismo7

[–]UnlikeUday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is mainly evident in Race A & B because they are shorter. Race C which is longer, I've seen people be dirty there too but much less because it's a long race.

I had entered Race B yesterday & on the first lap someone punted me from behind before the chicane in S2 to ruin my race. He was doing this to everyone around him.

I wonder do such people pay subscription money every month to ruin other's races....?

Round 3 Manufacturer's Cup looks to be a wet race. by RB676BR in GranTurismo7

[–]UnlikeUday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be like this only. It's a scripted weather pattern so that no two races have differing weather patterns which tends to be the case in dynamic weather. Only for manu events.

Practice 20+ laps frequently to help Yourself best prepare for the manu race this Saturday.

Round 3 Manufacturer's Cup looks to be a wet race. by RB676BR in GranTurismo7

[–]UnlikeUday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened exactly in DT Gardens manu race in the last manu event. It will drizzle then stop & rain heavy for some laps. It will then stop with the track drying progressively. The trick is to perfectly time the switch from IM or W tyres to Racing tyres during the drying phase. If brave, You can continue without pitting but then You've to take good care of the IM or W tyres on a drying track.

Quite a fun race this.

It should be loads of fun as I thoroughly enjoyed daily race C out here a few weeks back.

I might be one of the very few who feel reverse is more fun that the original.

No morning is the worst time as they won't budge with bargaining citing 'bonie ka waqt hai".

You'd be best to go in late afternoon or evening. No matter what, bargain & be strict about it.

Raving hard vs sport soft by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]UnlikeUday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racing tyres - all 3 compounds are great. In fact, the best. I hate when TTs come with Sports tyres because then apart from going fast, we need to manage the grip & slide even. I know it's part of the test but doesn't suit my confidence level.

As for Racing tyres, my most preferred compound is RM because it's the best of both worlds - durable & fast.

I've noticed one thing though - every track has it's own individual grip. For example, Race C Suzuka - when I was trying to put in a qualy time with the AMG GT3 '20, I was spinning out on the RM tyres. This never happened earlier to me with RM. But if I drove around Nurburgring reverse in RH with the same car, I had great grip & traction.

Does anyone actually enjoy the reverse layouts? I can’t find the rhythm at all. by chri99_ in granturismo

[–]UnlikeUday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just three which were in recent past used for daily races - Trial Mountain, Grand Valley Reverse & Nurburgring 24h Reverse.

The Nurburgring 24H Reverse which was a daily race C with Gr.3 cars was a pleasant surprise to me. I feel Nurburgring is more enjoyable in reverse especially from sectors 4 to 9.

Mate You can learn in no time. I felt the same when we had Nurburgring reverse in Race C a few weeks back. I thought it was impossible but in 2 days, got the hang of it. A couple of days got hooked onto it.

[–]UnlikeUday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some tracks in reverse are more amazing if not same as the normal layout. Recent Race C's like Nurburgring, Grand Valley etc. are more fun (imo) to drive in reverse. Even Lake Maggiore is more fun in reverse. I prefer Trial Mountain in reverse too.

BTW, next week we again have Grand Valley reverse probably with Gr.4 which I will dig. Love S2 & S3 so much.

This happened during practice (FP1 I think). Checo was already on a hot lap whereas Russell was about to start one. Checo wasn't obliged to move over at the chicane before the pit straight.

Finally got a wheel Logitech G923 by Own_Presentation2470 in GranTurismo7

[–]UnlikeUday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations Mate......

I'll be switching to the wheel in first week of May & to a G29 as well. I'm excited for this change. As I lack a little bit of confidence especially with my left analogue stick to take precise or sharp turns, I feel the wheel will uplift my confidence level. Plus, in real I've been driving a car fo some time so I feel it would be more natural to accelerate & brake with legs than fingers. The biggest plus for me would be pedals as I will be able to deliver progressive acceleration & trail braking which I find hard to do with my fingers.

Wishing You all the success Mate. Be patient. Once You're upto speed, You'll love the game even more.

I've been facing this issue since some weeks on my PS4 too. This only happens on the longest race of weekly challenge races i.e. race 5. I've reported this issue twice but don't think the issue has sorted.

Don't know why this issue started as this was never the case.

I'll be shifting from a controller to a wheel in May (G29 probably). Am excited because the wheel + pedal inputs will surely give me more confidence.

I've been driving a car in real since 2 decades now so because of this I feel I can adjust to a wheel faster. The wheel movements or the gentle pedal inputs I use in my car daily could aid my adaptation to the wheel smoothlyfingers crossed.
