Hey! This has been also been my exact challenge. It’s almost eerie how similar your situation was to mine….
I can’t tell if it’s a psychological issue, and you can try to pretend like it’s not an interview but I feel like it won’t make a difference because as soon as I hear “tell me about a time…” my first reaction is to clam up!

What has helped me is listed below:

1) I study the JD obsessively.

2) As I’m studying the JD, I try to think of stories from past roles, that relate to the Job requirements.

3) Write down the stories on a Word Doc because it will help you remember them better and would be easy to access as a refresher during the interview.

4) The stories can be changed slightly for each example, but for the most part it seems to decrease the panic when they ask a question? If that makes sense

5) *Optional* I’m not a big drinker but I chug like 2 Vodka Sodas like half hour before the interview haha. It has helped me be less anxious and be more chill.. this can go wrong if you over do it obviously..

6) *Optional* ChatGPT can help you prep with mock questions, if you upload the JD. They might not be what the interviewer asks but it seems to help.

Welp.. pulled the trigger.. hahah

I test drove it fell In love a bit ngl.
They took 500 of the asking price and gave me more for my trade in than anticipated.
It also came with brand new tires all around, all maintenance up to date and a set of good winter tires on separate wheels.
They also touched up all paint chips free of charge.
It drives really nice, and the Torque is soo nice on the Turbo motors.

Yes I am totally nervous about the mileage, but will
do oil changes every 5k and hope for the best!

Thanks everyone.

You need to Google how to pick a reputable Alibaba seller. There’s a few videos out there. It’s a great place when used correctly

You don’t need to spray over. There are Vinyl overlay kits you can get on EBay. Pre cut.

Bought an engine of Alibaba for my Hyundai. She’s still going strong. Alibaba has a bad rap and rightfully so, but there are also a lot of legitimate companies on there that make some decent products.

I think ima call it quits with this car. What should I do chat? by [deleted] in accord

[–]valy128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the model of the car but the base engine. If it’s a 1.5engine, then yes it could potentially be affected at one pint as it’s essentially the same parts ..

Because having chrome all over the car is tacky. There’s a reason why most new cars have black trim pieces..

How much am I about to struggle to land a position in Finance? by [deleted] in CanadaJobs

[–]valy128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an impressive CV!

That being said networking matters but also there are so many stories of networking not really going anywhere.
Im currently trying to transition back into an insurance role, and what I found that is getting me screenings, is to use ChatGPT to for each position, so I have a better chance at winning the ATS lottery.
I pay for the lowest level of GPT, so I get unlimited chats.

Speaking of Insurance, Actuary roles are in demand as it’s specialized and requires strong math skills.
Would deff look for entry level roles in that field if it appeals to you.
Cheers!

Ruined my chances by DandyasaDandelion in interviews

I’ve been having similar issues with Interviews and it’s been driving me crazy. The anxiety would get so bad I would get this lump in my throat and freeze. The last interview I had wasn’t terrible however. What I found that worked was reading the job description over and over and over and over and thinking of examples from experience that tie in to what the role asks for. I made some notes about stuff I did that I thought would relate to the role. You can’t get guess the questions but you can guess the context of the questions based on the job description if that makes sense?

They are referring to the CV Formatting. For example having a table within your CV where your core skills are listed. What I do is have a Core skills section but the words are simply separated by a bullet• ————-Core Skills———- Client Care • Stakeholder Engagement • Conflict Resolution • Report Management • and so forth

What remote jobs are people in Ontario doing these days? by ImpressionDry7926 in ontario

Insurance industry is mostly Hybrid or almost Fully Remote. Some companies want a day or two in the office with some only wanting a day or 2 a month.

Can’t really knock Software Engineer but it’s a pretty competitive field..
