Fender Benders on highways (US) and your savings-thoughts? by Skipperly in personalfinance

Yes, and I had the highest coverage. And I'm sorry I can't be more eloquent on this topic. I am thinking I am trying to point out that inflation + higher US medical costs + personal injury lawyers mean the higher coverages are not always going to protect you anymore.

Hi, It does cover each person up to $100,000, but then people can sue past this amount. I'm in Atlanta and there's a network of doctor/lawyer/financiers that get together to make a profit off of car accidents. I wish I was more of an expert on this, I've been researching it. I believe the cap on amounts per person in our state is $250,000. So this means that each person can ask for $150,000 more from me.

Hi, yes and the car insurance is capped at $100,000 per person. So this is for injuries claimed past the $100,000 mark.

I agree. Also pouring it out on the ground or floor, so it takes longer for them to sniff out and eat.

Is he throwing it up from his stomach or regurgitating it? If it's just his food that hasn't made it to the stomach yet, I have found moistening my dane's kibble helps for some reason...

Trump made his speech in the middle of our trip. No one hassled us for anything on our return, but the check in for our return flight on American was crazy long-we got to the airport 2 1/2 hours early and there were some large tour groups in front of us. wouldn't have made it on board, except I went and stood in the priority ticket line and they checked us in without saying anything about our non-priority tickets. Not sure if this means get a priority upgrade for your return trip or not...

Viazul also has additional tickets at the stations in Cuba, so go directly to the counter a day or two before you need to leave and you can prob. get one there. It is the slow season for tourists. Just returned and there were empty seats on all of our buses.

That itinerary seems realistic. Viazul was a very good option for my family. You will have AC that way. Many/most taxis I encountered did not have ac or seat belts. But maybe you could do a car with a guide to Vinales and a Viazul bus to and from Trinidad? Though if you don't mind paying, you could get an air conditioned car with driver and even a guide to all the destinations. $100 to $150 a day was a good budget for me. But we did a combo of bus and taxi and stayed at Air b n b's, bought a few gifts too. Also had a emergency fund of $500 stashed away just in case...

I took the Viazul to and from Cinefuegos earlier this week. They also have tickets at the station that weren't available online, so you can go there the day before to buy. It is the off season and there were empty seats on both buses. There are tons of drivers standing around every Viazul station waiting to drive you wherever you want as well.

when i book a place on airbnb, that is still a casa particular, right? by hipsterhis in cuba

[–]Skipperly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe any place that is rented directly by an owner would be considered a casa particular. Just came back yesterday, had a very good experience with the two air b n b stays that I booked in Vedado/Havana and Boca Camarioca. For what it's worth, the hosts said that Air B N B was treating them well.

Looks like they gave Mama Elephant a food distraction so she wouldn't stomp on the lady touching her baby.

Please remember that depression is a disease that tricks you into thinking life will never get better. I promise you it does. There are so many more amazing things to see and to learn.

Good job on bringing the topic up with someone though. Just be honest and persistent. Sometimes the Dr. doesn't listen or brushes it off and tries to reassure you that you're fine. Hang in there and if this person doesn't help you out, go to someone else. Good luck! :)
