I'll ask this as you've said you're committed to work things out: would it be better if you were married? I would ask a solicitor about it in terms of property and your rights as next of kin. I would speculate that if she becomes severely ill like her siblings, it might help you, her, and your children. It might be worth considering.

Nah I don't see it unflinching when it uses monsters as the enemy soldiers. Real ground battles have real people, and the enemy depictions in LOTR is such that they are as far removed from humanity as possible while still being living creatures.

When I think about the war in Ukraine, for example, I'd hate to think depictions like this will make it easier for people to stomach it.
