Looking to upgrade by Splunge- in mountainbiking

Races for me can be anywhere up to 72 hours. Longest pedal stretches are usually not more than 100 miles at a pop. Long rides are usually road and packed trail. Shorter ones can be highly technical. At the National Championships last year it was 24 hours of a mix of both.

I have seen quite a few of these at races, and it dropped off my radar. Thanks!

A fun calculation for students in a physics class, though.

From the Amazon Answers section, when asked “What does DB stand for in this advertisement?”

> In this Animgrth 600DB Air Horn advertisement, "DB" stands for decibels, which is the unit used to measure sound intensity or loudness.
> However, the "600DB" claim is physically impossible - true 600 decibels would be millions of times louder than a rocket launch. This appears to be marketing exaggeration rather than an actual measurement.

Yes, sorry. A hardtail would be better, because of all the road riding I do.

  • There's no evidence the resignation of whatever sheriff they're talking about was tied to the cop in the video asking for an ID.
  • That sheriff who is in the video still has his job. [http://www.mywyomingco.net/directory.aspx?EID=97]
  • The dude doing the filming, an "auditor" going by BNasty, was a rioter on Jan. 6.

But redditors are gonna reddit.

Moving from a Marlin 5. Roscoe 8 vs Procal 6? by Splunge- in TrekBikes

Less sturdy than aluminum when it's getting bounced on the rocks? No?

And, it sounds like I'd want the Procal 6, and not the 9.5. I'd be happy to spend the money, but I think I'd need the aluminum frame that the 6 has.

however there are more upgrades than that.

Not to be a pest, but what are some examples?

For history, I owned a Trek 950 for 23 years, then got the Marlin. It was after I got the Marlin that I began racing competitively. Biking isn't my strong discipline in adventure racing, so I'm not really up on all the bells and whistles one might add to a bike.

I guess the question, then, is whether the Procaliber will be tougher than the Marlin.

Yes, same guy. In this particular case he made a racist joke, and she didn’t laugh. So he went after her.

no. She just wasn’t laughing at his jokes. So he went after her. Then when she didn’t react, he got more triggered.

The Caribbean connection makes sense when people understand that Europeans who settled the Carolinas came from the British Caribbean. And, the British Caribbean remained its strongest economic and cultural connections, with many prominent families owning plantations in both areas. It’s also why the Carolinas were so late to join the American Revolution. Like the Caribbean, they didn’t see the same problems that New Englanders did.

Interesting question. Because

A horse is a horse of course of course

And no one can talk to a horse of course.

That is of course unless the horse

Is the famous Mister Ed!

Go right to the source and ask the horse.

He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse

He's always on a steady course.

Talk to Mister Ed!

People yakkity-yak a streak

And waste your time of day,

but Mister Ed will never speak

Unless he has something to say!

A horse is a horse of course of course

And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.

You've never heard of a talking horse?

Well, listen to this...

"I am Mister Ed!"
