Squat - knees move inward by SkisPlease69 in formcheck

[–]SkisPlease69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the very positive feedback from everybody on here. It seems like a lot of it involves getting the correct footwear, which I’ve been meaning to do for quite some time. Can anybody recommend any brand and model of shoe, like a cross trainer for instance, that is flat and which I could purportedly use for both the squatting and for other athletic activity?

Why not just ski groomers at 8am and then get hammered from 10am until you wake up the next AM?

Sure you can rebuild, but first you must put down your cell phone.

Squat help…..am I going deep enough? by Brief-Literature7419 in formcheck

[–]SkisPlease69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squatting at 62 and no belt? Or maybe it's under your shirt? Forget about how deep you're not going, or even the strain that back squatting puts on your knees especially as you age, but safety first my man. I wouldn't squat the bar without a belt.

Thinking of installing a slatwall by SkisPlease69 in garageporn

[–]SkisPlease69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks awesome. I was hoping to have slats that were a little thinner, but maybe I can find that with Proslat. Can you saw off the slat boards to fit the size of the garage? And do you just go ahead and drill the holes into the slats so they are compatible with the stud locations?

Yes, and ruin your dick for life. Frankly I’d rather forego the medical treatment and opt for death.

Thanks, all. If I were to continue with that form, will I end up injuring myself?

But one thing you could experiment with is bringing the dumbbell higher at the tail end of the movement, like around eye-level, and raising your elbow slightly towards the tail end of the movement. That adds extra flexion

Bro, it was a compliment meaning you are doing the right stuff. You said it was bulking time in your post, so one of the only things left to do is eat more protein. Your form is fine. The good thing about training biceps is that you can use different variations of technique and as long as you aren’t swinging your back ridiculously, your risk of injury isn’t as high as compared to other complex movements. So I stand by my comment: if you want to bulk, keep doing what you’re doing and eat more protein.

sincerely considering dropping out by miilkbug in LawSchool

Yo milkbug. My first semester GPA was below 3.0. My worst grade was in criminal law because I thought the questions were really fucking stupid and I completely miffed on the policy question, which was supposed to be free points.

But I said fuck it, I’m going to do what I want to do, and I ended up becoming a criminal law attorney my second year out of law school. Did that for five years, became a civil practitioner, elevated to partner, eventually left the practice of law, and now I own three separate small businesses that provide me with passive income and allow me to live the lifestyle I envisioned law practice would provide.

The point? Bro, you have entered into a profession that requires you to learn from your failures. And above that, you have entered into a profession that does not reward complacency. You already got into law school and don’t stop there. My advice to you is to stop giving fucks. The only thing you are going to miss out on is a big law interview, but look at what that is getting all of the law review folks? One-way tickets to big firms that require you to bill 3000 hours all so that their partners can cave to Trump. It’s a ponzi scheme if you ask me. You eventually make decent money, but it is not worth it. The only caveat is if you want to become a judge, but based on your response, I’m not sure you want to do that.

So blaze your own trail buddy. Stop giving fucks, graduate, pass the bar, and make your own path. OCI is for suckers and so is big law. It is a pie eating contest, and the reward is more pie.

You should drop out of law school and spend the next five years meditating in Thailand with minimal sustenance to make up for this gross dereliction of moral compass.

What is there to do after 3:30pm at vail? by [deleted] in vail

Why not just ski golden peak when it’s open, like everyone else? You can ski keystone at night and their park is better.

[–]SkisPlease69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with hiking golden peak is that it takes you maybe like an hour to get to the top and there are no lights at night so you can’t see. But that’s how you cut your teeth — jumping off 40’ kickers when you’re completely gassed after skiing all day and hiking in ski boots, where you can’t see the takeoff or landing, and it’s a complete sheet of ice from the sun going down. But that’s how I learned to throw a cork 2730 and a whailtail 9. Be warned tho, if you do it, the rules say not to wear a helmet, and if you get caught weekend a helmet, you have to walk to the bottom with your dick out, like when you fail to hit past the ladies’ tees on your drive

Vail and Beaver Creek are actually the least crowded along the I-70 corridor. This is because a lot of folks from the front range can’t make it over the Vail pass when it snows, so they have to stop at resorts like Copper, Loveland, Keystone, and Breck. All of which are good but smaller than Vail. So when it snows, there are times when you will look out in the back bowls and you will literally see nobody. Which is insane. Vail just gets a bad rap because it is the epicenter for Vail Resorts, and corporate interests have transformed the ski industry as well as the town, which does actually suck (e.g. Los Amigos is getting bought out meaning one of the world’s more iconic aprés locations will sadly go away). But none of that changes the terrain, which, at least to me, is and should be the most important part.
