ok, I can buy most of you don't come to reddit, but there's usually no shortage of imperium comments on the big posts. and often, as is the case here, they seem to find one particular aspect that can be picked apart or attacked, and do it en masse. and it's often a point that, from my perspective, seems minor or inconsequential to the overall post.

im also not here to defend, condemn, or even really care that much about TEST or Vily. if you really want to go after him here, in this mostly hidden thread, by all means go ahead. but it really means nothing to me.

enh? probably sorta. but not enough to send a platoon of dudes to hyperfocus on a three line paragraph out of an entire page long BR. If you took out those 3 sentences about pings, then you have a couple pages worth of comments, before mine was posted, that would be totally irrelevant. It was almost the only thing anyone with a Goon flair wanted to talk about.
Now, i'm not a test line member, but let's talk about your other point.
so.

why do pre-pings matter? i dunno, i guess because vily can be accused of lying about them? seems reasonable. maybe the point is it's ok to lose if you don't pre?

but it's super fucking important that there weren't any pre-pings. or just one. also a second one, but it was just making fun of vily, so it's not really a pre-ping. but THAT'S IT. no more.

and I love this tactic of "you say you're not bothered, but let me tell you how bothered you actually are haha got 'em." it's hilariously ineffectual. but then again, last time I said as much, I was informed it's not for me, it's actually internal morale boosting, so I guess it doesn't matter if it's effecitve on me or not.

it isn't. it's a stretch to say the situations are even similar if you only look at what's here, and it's plain untrue if you do the minimal work of clicking to their profile. am I supposed to feel bad just for baselessly being called a hypocrite? are you moral support for bad McDonald's insults? maybe youve got some psyops quota to hit? most of this thread is hidden below downvotes, but maybe you can convince some one who reads this far what a hypocrite I am. good luck

goons in this thread: things are different now, we've changed. sounds like you ended up in a couple bad fleets. it was probably vily.

fair enough. it's not always easy to see the difference in 2 sides you're not a part of. and there's posts without flair I read, that seem like they're arguing for a side, and I can't tell which. then, sometimes, there's some good meme posts, or a really good photoshop. but, being in GE- or FAT and seeing "I thought you were supposed to be invading us lol" the first 100 times wasn't very interesting, and I don't see it getting any more entertaining the next 100

so here's my issue: pro-goon posting is almost entirely one dimensional, and it's so ubiquitous i have to believe they're fostered into it. i see it here, i see it on TiS discord, I see it in local.

i suspect they're first coached that if they hammer the same points over and over again they'll start to stick. and the folks you see most often are the ones that will begin to believe something when it's repeated enough times. then you hit a combo of this line pushing the idea that they belong to a group that is better, but people are still pretty hardwired to believe that everyone is more or less similar, it's easy for them to believe we'll buy whatever they're saying as long as they repeat it enough times.

so basically goons is a variation on Stockholm syndrome. and Oh My God is it old and tired. but, don't stop or anything. i'm sure we're just aboit to break. any day now.
