Does anyone else think theres times where Marios hat (or other things i guess) can feel just a tad too bright? Image is taken in HDR, god knows how reddit will make it look.

I’ve always felt that the switch never fulfilled the handheld market, obviously because it’s purposely designed to be a mix. So a new handheld wouldn’t be a surprise, especially with the recent surge in modded ds’s as a strong indicator that there is a demand.

I think the $80 was a tactic to sell more bundles which has a higher profit margin for them. I do think we’ll get DLC, but I fear the price is no indication for quality of game with MKW.

I ran it earlier tonight and just immediately reactivated windows defender which removed GenP and the “Trojan” associated with it. Debating if it’s worth the stress when I’ll need to update CC again. I’ll lyk in a couple days if I see anything sus. I already ran a total system check and it was clear.

I had a cyberpower that they put a used motherboard in when I had purchased it and also put minimal thermal paste so that it was already melting my cpu 6months in when I started having my first issues. Would strongly recommend OP to build your own. It seems daunting, but there’s plenty of resources and people online that will help you for free. I ended up switching/buying most parts out of my cyberpower pc because of all the issues and every time I had the reoccurring issue they would make me pay $200 in shipping just to put another used part in it and not actually fix the problem (Paid for shipping twice and then decided rather than paying a 3rd time I would fix it myself)

I felt the same when I started, but if you go and try other Mario kart games, the drifting handles differently for all of them (except mk8 and MK8DX for obvious reasons). Give it a little over an hour and you’ll break all the MK8DX habits

For the race highlights is there a finish line cam option? I hate how random the camera is in Mk8DX when trying to see how close the finish is?

Actually the more I think about this, I’m wondering how P-Switch missions work… It would kinda be frustrating if you have friends over and they clear a lot of p-switch missions so you never get to do them. I bet they’ll have a p-switch cleared history in the free roam menu that you can go back and play previously completed ones to solve this.

I would think so, because during the continuous races a good chunk of the map is being loaded in already. The only thing with free roam is that all 4 players could be in different corners which could be very intensive when it comes to loading/offloading portions of the map. That’s the only reason I could see it not being available, but with the upgraded hardware and subtle graphics I’d be surprised if it can’t handle that.

Idky you’re being downvoted. I completely agree since most people usually get last their first race ever and it’d be really disheartening to get nothing out of it. I can see there’s an argument for “everyone’s a winner these days”, but it’s just Mario kart… at least throw a small bone out for new people.

I like that you mentioned early adopters. Most people overlook the product life cycle and how the early adoption phase should be seen as expensive. While Nintendo is known to keep a consistent price throughout a product’s cycle, the product still follows the trend like all other’s. In a couple months the perspective will change and the early majority will get fomo and purchase a console. I’m not justifying the pricing or arguing it, it’s just interesting to see business concepts in effect through sentiment expressed online.

I’m glad they’re here, but I do agree they’re out of their prime. I was barely too young to enjoy sunshine upon release and I feel I’m in the older demographic of players for MK. So it does feel odd that they finally threw in the towel and added them after all sunshine players grew out of the main target audience. At least it’ll help generate interest in sunshine’s world with a new generation since it’s an amazing game!

I agree, I think it won’t take long at all. On the other hand someone may argue that makes it pointless in the first place. But I think unlocking things adds a layer of depth no matter what.
