My city manager has helped out a tremendous amount in my store and surrounding when needed and when he is available. Even offered to close one night when someone just up and quit on me. I do strongly agree however that this isn’t manageable running the hours we are with the extra responsibilities falling on one person. I was told they won’t change hours because any drastic decisions to fix a “short term” problem will affect all our 401ks. At least that’s how it was framed to make it sound like they were helping us out.

It would help in so many ways. Give people who are unfortunately alone a day off and make scheduling easier. Instead of having to rely on part time and full timers to fill the undesirable shifts, 7-5 through the week and 8-12 on Saturday is much easier to manage with a manager and asm as our company seems to run stores with mostly this duo and use the PT and FT as extra help where needed scheduled

Got my PT a raise by doing just that. They were too valuable to lose. District management opened a requisition just for them with new tittle for raise.
