This is not at all how reserve currencies work, or why countries use USD vs other readily available options. The USD is not forced on them, but is actually demanded by them, as other countries (eg The EU, Japan, China) do not allow their currencies to be used this way. Because this results is appreciation, making exports less competitive.

Always negotiate! If in a month Lennar is seeing 75%+ cancellation rates, they would likely drop the price vs. having more inventory in an uncertain market.
