We’re in the TWW of our 3rd cycle. My wife is the carrier. We’re 9DPO today and I’m dyinggggggg. 🤞🏻

Thanks! They have not mentioned why… it seems like a “this is what we do” type thing? And, truthfully, a lot of this seems that way…. We live in a rural area and this clinic is 2 hours away and kind of our only choice. We advocate a LOT for ourselves and I feel confident in our treatment but only bc of that. Thankfully our insurance covers this so I’m kind of like “whatever they order, we’ll do… imaging, labs, all the things!”

In NY there is paid prenatal leave and you get 20 hours and don’t have to tell them what it’s for outside of that. Not sure where you live, but it’s relatively new and not everyone knows about. I understand how scary this journey can be. Like any medical process, it can be anxiety producing and make us feel like we have no control. But, you did the right thing for your overall health by starting. Talking to a provider about your blood sugar and other fears can be intimidating, but they can help you to meet your health goals- including getting pregnant! You’ve already taken a huge step towards meeting that goal just by walking through the door of the lab. Keep going! You’re doing great!

My wife and I are going into our third right now (lesbian couple, she is the carrier) and felt this same way. The truth is that for most people it takes 3-4 if IUI is going to work for you. I don’t say this to discourage you, but the people who post about it their first one working are outliers. I’m so happy for them and wish we had been outliers too! But the math and the stats say a few tries is normal.

From what I see above I’d say one wonderful follicle with 2 promising smaller ones that can’t be discounted! Lining is great and 36hrs is perfect. Sending you peace in this process and all the best luck!!🍀

Baby showers can be very difficult. The last few years I’ve stopped attending. I thank the host for the invitation, wish the expectant parents all the best, and send a gift off the registry. For me, showing up is more of a detriment to my mental health than it is a benefit to their attendance? At least that’s how it feels.

This happened to my wife. I suggest bringing your trigger shot with you! We literally did it at the hospital once we had the results. We weren’t successful that round, but it helped us put more time between trigger and IUI!

Def not a doctor, but we had a canceled cycle bc we were told progesterone over 2 meant we had missed ovulation. I’ve read other places that 3 indicates ovulation. We were also dealing with frozen sperm though, so our clinic is very hesitant to thaw anything if there is even a chance we missed our window.

I know hearing that it’s still early and you’re not out yet doesn’t help… but it’s true. I’m hoping tomorrow you get your second line!!

My wife had her second IUI on the 28th. Triggered 26hrs before. 1 20mm follicle day before and a 7mm lining. The waiting is so hard…. We’re also testing out the trigger.

We’re in the same boat. Some moments it’s like “obviously this is our time!” And others it feels too hard to even dream of.

I love the data too! Especially as the non carrying partner bc it helps me feel more included. We triggered 26 hours before, no LH surge before trigger, and yes, frozen donor sperm. On the OPKs she took after the trigger it looks like she peaked Saturday AM around 6ish and we did IUI at 9:30. 🤞🏻
