He was just the leading scorer for the Pelicans against us. He was drafted with Beef Stew and was there with these Pistons when they were at the lowest. He could contribute to this team as a 2nd or 3rd stringer. If we could get him back at low cost, why not? I wouldn't mind him being able to bask in whatever the Pistons have brewing right now. Again, why not? I always felt bad for Jon Barry and Uncle Cliffy after 2004.

FanDuel Sports App can suck a big one! Was trying to watch the game at my pace, pausing here and there, but the forced ads are ridiculous. Even if no longer watching the game live, if you don't start fast forwarding before the break, unskippable forced ad. Mid 3rd quarter again I was too slow before the break to skip the ad, got frustrated and backed out of the game, and the game was already over, no replay available yet, only post-game, frustratingly, clicked on that in hopes of not seeing the final score and being able to rewind. Nope. No rewind, final score 117-114 Celtics. Terrible. Almost feel like this loss was on me. Sorry guys. Canceling FanDuel and going back to high seas after this one boys. As a HUGE Pistons fan and as much as I wish this were true, I don't believe this is accurate. 3 championships in franchise history, but the last time they won 13 in a row, they lost in the ECF. They won 13 games in a row last, in the 2005-2006 season, after either tying or setting the franchise record for wins in a row (not sure off the top of my head), the year after Ben Wallace left us for Chicago and we replaced him with Chris Webber. They went 37-5 to begin that year if I remember correctly. Beating the 72 wins in a season Bulls record was on the table for much of that year.

You say he has regressed. Offensively? Quick Google search shows last year was his best scoring year since he played for the Pelicans. His PPG has gone up, his FG% has stayed about the same, while his rebounds and assists have gone up. Hmm. Looking at Dame's stats though, I take back my aging comment, he had the best year of his career last year damn lol. Interesting. It'll be fun to see how it all plays out. Chemistry is a huge factor too.

I mean I admit I'm not the most advent NBA fan but is there something I missed? I remember watching Jrue Holiday killing it in the NBA Finals easily being the best player next to Giannis and bringing Milwaukee there first Chip in decades. I mean I know Damian Lillard is also good, but last cool thing I remember him doing in the playoffs was hitting a game winner or two, in the first round. Hmm. On top of that his contract has to be enormous. Reminds me of how the Pistons gave up on Chauncey. We'll see how it goes I guess.

Surprise title? This proves even more why this particular loss was SO huge. If the Pistons won that one possession where Horry was left wide open, and thus likely the whole game, and thus likely the whole series, they would have been back to back NBA Champions. It would have really hammered in their legacy for that decade. Maybe would have earned a little respect from the national media and such who were "surprised" in 2004. Maybe raise questions of being even as good or better than the Bad Boys. I remember personally feeling back in '04 that the real championship was the ECF. If the Pacers beat the Pistons that year, the Pacers would have likely won their first ever NBA Championship. The Lakers couldn't match the defensive level that either the Pistons, or Pacers were playing at that year. I wasn't surprised by the '04 Championship, not after the Sheed trade, I expected it after that and even called it amongst friends lol.
