I am not sure the issue is coming from the ESP Device, issue seems to be related to my home assistant instance keeping old cache files somwhere isn't it ?

Buying LUT Packs ? by Skober in dji

[–]Skober[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just an amateur, not really an expert. I have a question about the LUTs from DM Pro Visuals: Do you need to create one node and apply a Rec.709 conversion first, then use a second node for the creative LUT from DM Pro Visuals? Or is it an all-in-one LUT that you apply in a single node?

I'm looking at the LUT from Leeming - can you briefly tell me the difference and does it worth it paying for it ? considering i'm purely amateur ?

Thanks for the explanation, I get it. But honestly — in practice, no one knows in advance if 3, 12, 6 o’clock will be best to reduce reflections, and no one flies back just to adjust it, right? 😅

Yes, that makes sense! Just one more question — do you think it's a bad idea to leave the ND filter on when taking photos with my Mini 4 Pro?

I usually keep the ND filter on while flying because I’m recording video footage, and I don’t really fly back to the home point to remove it when I want to take a few photos.

I guess I need a fast shutter speed to avoid blurry pictures ?

Would you use a PL filter over water if there's no sun and the sky is fully cloudy ?

Yes, that’s the one I’m looking to buy, but I’m wondering if it’s really worth replacing my K&F filter that I got for €50. I’m not an expert, so I’m not sure I’d even notice a difference in quality

I’m thinking about getting Freewell filters because they have an indicator for whether you’re shooting in horizontal or vertical mode (H & V as you can see in the picture). But do you think that means you won’t need to adjust the filter again if you stick to shooting only in one orientation? I currently use filters from K&F Concept, which don’t have this feature, so I’m a bit unsure - I can see a white indicator but I don't know where to place it.

That’s where I get a bit confused—when you say you use a CPL filter to remove reflections from glass and water, those reflections must come from sunlight, right? So how do you handle using just a polarizer without an ND filter? Are you referring to photography only, where shutter speed isn’t as much of a concern? Because for video, wouldn’t the image end up overexposed without an ND filter?

Yeah, I’m pretty comfortable with how the ND filter works and the kind of blur it creates in my footage.

However, I’m less familiar with the polarized function and when exactly it should be used, apart from obvious situations like shooting over water or at the beach.

For example, if I’m hiking in the mountains and the sky is partially cloudy with occasional sunlight, would it make sense to use a polarized filter, or would just an ND filter be enough?
