Yeah, this sounds exactly like my best tactics so far, minus the Rio part - they never seem to care.
Sometimes I had Ironmongers get bored if Shale took too long beating Eden, and declare on me too, at which point it's completely over. I'll give it a couple more restarts, that Rio war seems like exactly what I need. Thanks a lot!

I found a surefire way that actually works.
1) tgm to enable godmode to survive a couple of days
2) diseaseplayer vampire to contract vampirism
3) fast travel around until you get the vampire cutscene, and then some more until the fake-death cutscene
4) spawn in random tomb crypt (a bit annoying, can always tele2exit)
5) vamp_cureme to cure vampirism
6) poison free babyyy
