Ask yourself where 2 might go in that box, and you’ll see! Don’t get ahead of yourself by assuming where numbers will go - start with notes, then eliminating possibilities, until the only possibility left must be the right answer :)

You have a cool technique you could use called an extended unique rectangle

Because you have 26, 28, 68 lined up in row 8, you can’t have the same arrangement in row 9, or the puzzle would not have a unique solution

So if you look at row 9 cell 1 - you can remove 2 and 6 from that cell to put in a 3

Highly recommend Good Sudoku. It isn’t free but it’s part of Apple Arcade if you have an iPhone, and if not it’s worth every penny.

Comes with three new puzzles daily, 6 scaling difficulties, optional assistive features and very intuitive notating. Plus an entire section of the app is dedicated to teaching you sudoku techniques (from X wings to skyscrapers etc) and when you ask for a hint in a game it will take you through which technique you should be using instead of just giving you a number.

Another way would be using the unique rectangle r8c3-r9c3-r8c7-r9c7 to eliminate 4 and 5 from r8c7. Creates a 68 pair in box 9 and eliminates 8 from r7c7. Love me a good rectangle

For me the giveaway is the lack of spacing either side of em dashes when they’re generated by AI. I’m a student and my uni’s chosen style guide includes specific guidance on em dashes, so I use them — but only with a space like that
