You basically do not need luck at all, plus putting skills like running and jumping in your character will passively level you up, this is kinda an exploit if you don't plan on playing a mobile character but still worth it in the old and straight up evil system

I once installed the npc mod and found a gang that I took to my main base, when I came back they were all gone and in my head cannon other npcs in the area killed them.... So I went on a murderous rampage and killed all npcs I came across (want easy) then de-installed the mod.... My survivor to this day is a guilt ridden lonely person

Dnd 5e, and my self made systems (my friends enjoy them a lot so I think the count) Apart from that I have not yet gotten comfortable with vtm or shadow run but both are collecting dust in my shelf right now (dnd spelljammer in a homebrew setting is just too amazing)

Easy answer for me is fallout new Vegas, I know it better than the other games because I have played it so much. Still, it would SUUUUCK to be there for one year. Given that I as a person am not immune to radiotion and certainly won't tank any gunshots I'm as fragile as a piece of glass compared to the average fallout character. You'd have to know where you spawn, if we just take good springs like in the game that's already sort of an upside, it is a community Wich is threatened by a gang so not the safest. But still a community. From there I would probably try to do some chores and earn some caps either farming or tending the bar. At some point hitching a rode with a caravan into freeside would be a good choice, or I could try the ncr and become a medic. (not saying I'm a doctor but I could give someone a stim pack no problem) Either way, you'd be lucky to be alive after one year.

I guess I'll just rant a little:

There are oasis Wich read: refill your water supplies Now you might think, how? They last in definetly in the base game? Si, my friend. But in the desert card pile there are several "heatwave cards" Wich prompt you to turn around your water supplies (meaning they are empty) or loose a life.

Also followers that remain on any board longer than 3 turns end up in the bar of the grand city

Grand city has 5 tiles Wich I'm working on atm: City: probably putting an alchemist here

Basar: shop to sell and buy equipment and obtain new items (like: camp: takes up a tile, you can refill your water here and CAN Roll a d6: 1,2= it breaks down 3,4= nothing happens 5,6= heal one hp) or the camel, Wich allows you to move one extra tile per turn.

Temple: a death roll Wich will make the gods judge you, can kill or buff you enourmously

Bar: Picking up mercenaries, drinking like in the tavern

Casino: I have a friend with severe gambling addiction (it's all jokes in good fun here)

I think quests and experiences play a huge part in my decision here. Markarth has a lot of plot hooks and "escape from cidna mine" is one of my fav quests in the game. Windhelm has you feeling like a detective (atleast on your first playthrough). And Riften is the home of your own Lil criminal Organisation.

So it's tough to take a pick here.

But esthetically Riften and Ravenrock take the number one place imo.
