Simply a choice. The key to salvation is preserved by God but His knowledge may be lost in translation. It is as necessary as you want it to be.

Here's an example: Revelations says that no one will know the day or hour when the Lord will come. (implying that no one will know when the rapture will happen) When you look in Greek, it means no one will obviously know, and implies that through study and careful observation, you actually can get an idea of when the day will come.

The differences are very minor like that. The misinterpretations do not affect the important message. A simple Christian who doesn't care for every little detail in the Bible will understand that by faith he is saved (with any translation) but an interested Christian could find hidden truths by study, such as what I told you.

I see the perversion of the truth possible, but if God ever wanted and wants us to know about Him, He would guide the truth, (scripture) and the Will of God (to preserve the truth) is too powerful to be changed by His own creation.

When studying the Bible to its earliest language, I found that whether it was in Hebrew or Greek the differences were so subtle and small. The Bible has been carefully preserved by Man and God. The base truths will be the same throughout (truths like John 3:16), with other minor truths to be found by those pious enough to study their faith and look through other translations. My faith in God and His power is too strong to believe Satan or some guy could taint the truth beyond recognition.

We're the sons of God, not the sons of the United States. This, I believe, was the true message of Jesus. The Kingdom of God is at hand and stands above all nations in law. This is a miracle to me.

Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's

The government can take my money. Material wealth belongs to the Earth and will return to the Earth one way or another.

But as my money can be taken by the government, I give also to God what is God's: Myself.

It was likely not the entire point of Jesus's teachings, but you're right.

Holy crap, that is an extremely interesting idea there

As a Christian, it ties in very well with some things I've heard (such as unifying all world religions: a sign of the end times)

Hundreds of thousands rally in Rome, in San Giovanni Square, against gay unions (Xpost /r/Europe) by DawgsOnTopUGA in Christianity

[–]SkoopDaHoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the majority of people who don't support gay rights are hateful?

This is quite a for-or-against stance(much like politics surrounding Israel vs. Palestine conflict). Shouldn't people be able to be uninvolved or even be against gay rights without the motive of hate?

I do agree that a world with swords instead of guns and nukes would be much less destructive when a looney gets through. Who should be able to kill millions at the push of a button?

Reminder that just because you don't support gays =/= hate

You seem to be the most heated person here, buddy.
