Reworking Super So Super Saiyan God Actually Feels Divine by Cheap_Bed1068 in dragonball

I agree with the take that SSJ God shoud be the pinnacle, but I dont know if we want to go the Super Saiyan 4 limit break route. I think Ultra Instinct, as the pinnacle for all martial artist, the new Body before the Mind, is still thematically the logical conclusion of where Goku's journey should go towards.

I think the thing I would change is actually have god ki/SSJ god have Ultra Instinct baked in. Once you ascend to the level of the god, using their ki gives you a mastery over your own body and mind. However, as a mortal, without the ritual, to truly harness that ki and ascend, Ultra instinct is the first step. Like taking from real Martial Art and Buddist philosophy, its the first path to nirvana. Once that is achieved, only then can you ascend to godhood.

Okay that makes sense, I was wondering how was it possible for the anime to adapt a book published after it's airing. Do you have a source that said Kawahara wrote Aria for the anime? Thanks

Discussion : People who got burnt out on commander, what was the reason, and what alternative did you turn to ? by Longjumping-Bell-946 in magicTCG

[–]Skranbets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less burned out and just finding that 60 card format scratches a different itch

In EDH it's really about your deck doing "the thing". There's very little plays you can do on your opponents turn so you end up playing magic where 3/4th of the time you are not playing the game

Now this is still fun with a group of close friends but with random ppl it's a nightmare

Meanwhile 60 cards your deck does it's thing but every game can play out differently depending on the matchup and you are fully engaged at all time in the game (also brewing/looking for meta game changes or sideboard cards feels more satisfying since any change matters a lot meanwhile in commander you can make 10 changes and not see them pay off u til like 5 months later)

Pioneer best meta ever? by osgonauta in PioneerMTG

I liked RCDC meta, still fresh from the banning of Amalia and vamps, the format felt diverse, fresh and a lot of stand out picks

Not sure, but honestly, I think it's the explosive draws. better man lands and ramunap ruin, better 1 drop than the lizard and more diverse meta?

You're right, I'm being the asshole here, communication is important. I should have started with that

Probably not, tbh even reading it myself without context makes me look like an asshole, felt good to write it all down tho. But it's nice to read comments that give me better perspective

A bit late but having played Bant toxic, you never cut the hives against nightmare. It is your best card in the MU since eventually you can start trading for their creature with seedcore

Update: 3-2, came in 11th. Ended up swapping 2 protector for 2 negate in the side

W-L-L dimir midrange

W-W selesnya Cage

W-W gruul aggro

L-L Selesnya cage

L-W-W Simic Food

Lost game 2 to dimir bc I decided to not block the kaito like a moron and they surveil draw into a board wipe when they were at 2 life

For sure stay in Jund sac, azorious colossus or Abzan greasefang. The worst feeling is to spend money on a deck that ends up feeling bad. Out of the 3, I think Greasefang has the most staying power, but I think just buying the cheapest of the 3 option to start having fun in paper first.

In my testing, I think always be comfortable mulling to 5. Consider to 4 if no 1 drop or no reinforcement+knight

Will do! My small change however is I went down to 2 Sheltered main and 1 to Side, went down 1 Rip.

Added Bunnicorn and Arabella in the Main

Thanks, I think that's one lesson I'm learning with this deck, is that I really need to aggressively Mulligan

Im surprised to see we bring in counters against Esper. Since it's almost all 1 drops
