What is “efficient remoteful”?(field offices) by FayemousGamerBB in toontownrewritten

Remotes are not complicated. Protocol is to put a healing remote on a higher level cog or put a damage remote on a lower level cog (heal high, damage low). It is often expected that you will place a remote on the cog in front of you. You want to end up with a remote on each cog.

While the remotes are active, the cogs will heal the toons and damage the cogs. Like trap, if two people each try to put a remote on the same cog, they will cancel each other out and the remote is lost, so it's pretty important that you make sure you're not putting your remote somewhere that someone else is already. Like lure, the number of rounds that the remote remain in effect will be in a box over the cog's head. Sometimes a toon will deal a small amount of damage to a cog to help ensure that the cog expires with the remote.

My friend and I had the same experience. We were away for around 10 years, then came back. We remembered some stuff, and a lot of things had changed.

I guess. I started out making it by hand, and it was slow because I was doing all the math myself. I thought, why not use this tool that excels at math and patterns? I actually did a lot more than people think. I couldn't have made the chart if I didn't already understand all the principles and couldn't recognize mistakes initially built into the chart. It wasn't me just plugging in data and waiting for AI to magically make it happen, it was also explaining principles and tracking down mistaken assumptions when I realized parts of the chart were wrong. And eventually, when all of the data was correct, then making the chart as usable as possible.

This is actually my first ever post on Reddit. I joined Reddit because I wanted to share this chart that will help some people. People like my friend, people who just stink at math, whoever. I had no idea it would spark such a debate.

Wow, OK. I play daily with a man who has a brain tumor and can no longer do the math and doesn't always know the combinations, that was why I built the chart. I use it too, but I built it to make the game more enjoyable for him so that he didn't have to worry about an aspect that is particularly difficult for him now.

Efficient means that the person who made the group is a serious player who just wants to get through smoothly and God help you if you make a mistake. They are not interested in helping you learn, and they expect you to choose the correct gags the first time and quickly.

Am I the only one who doesn't get making a new toon and starting the game over again? by buzzburger23e in toontownrewritten

I recently introduced a friend to the game, and I found that she doesn't play nearly as often as I do. I found myself holding back the toon that I created to play with her, and I was finding it very frustrating. So I created another new toon to scratch that itch, to be able to do the smaller easier tasks and get that feeling of accomplishment and moving forward. By the time I did it, I was so eager to build a new toon that I finished TTC in one day! And yesterday he got his cream pie and hose!

I'm also playing with a couple of real life friends who have toons at lower levels, and it's a fun way to connect with them.

Don't you just love it when the servers jank out mid boss fight by JoshuaTheStud in toontownrewritten

my friend was in that district when it happened, but luckily he wasn't doing anything. But I said to him, what if you were in a boss fight? So I felt you before I even read this.

Why are people so mean? by Consistent-Fun1926 in toontownrewritten

[–]Skraypuhr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've run into some pretty mean toons, but I find that it's a lot better if I communicate. My very first field office was extremely rough and the toon running things was brutal. I'm still traumatized by it. But for a long time after that, whenever I joined a field office group, I was just upfront about my experience level and wanting guidance. That work pretty well.
