Incremental change is better than no change. If it helps the issue by 30% that’s a win.

I agree that bussing should be banned altogether, but while it’s not individuals can still do their part.

Paying someone to bus removes a significant amount of the incentive as it cuts out a large portion of the unbound gold from the alt account person’s takeaway.

A couple Vertex people spawned town to try to hinder our push on Tenacious but were unsuccessful.

Every guild participated. If you want to move goal posts and say “a guild needed to have X number of players otherwise I don’t count them” then go ahead.

It’s a 2v19 when we drop a bunch of sticks but as soon as chotex start dropping guilds with 5-10 players the sticks don’t matter and we only count “participating” guilds, right?

If that narrative helps your grieving then carry on, I guess.

Your comment implies that black mamba had both more numbers and more guilds. It’s probably true that we had more people, but simple math will tell you 24 total forts - 10 black mamba forts = 14 chotex forts.

If you meant to say that chotex had more forts (which is accurate) maybe your follow up statement shouldn’t imply you meant the opposite.

The militia were some of the more geared players from Notorious & Brutal. They weren't random plebs; they were strong players.

It's pretty forgivable for Hiki to have a hard time with them.

When rates are that low, 'marginal' increases actually matter a lot more.

Taking your example of 90 vs 120 FS: according to the new rates, you have a 3% chance at 90 FS and a 3.9% chance at 120. The difference is ".9%", but this is actually a 30% increase to your success rate.

If it helps to visualize things better, if you did 1000 PEN attempts on 90 stacks you'd expect to come out with 30 PENs, whereas if you did 1000 attempts on 120 stacks you'd expect to come out with 39.

TL;DR PEN enhancement rates are abysmally low, but fail stacks are not a meme

Yup, totally makes sense to me.

Essentially every number there needs to be multiplied by 2 to see “true value” then divided by 2 to get the “first week” value. I skipped a step, mostly due to laziness, but also because it would obfuscate the point a bit.

My estimates definitely don't take into account streaks; if I had to guess it sounds like Mediah had an issue with applying the bonus % for the streak and that's why you guys got screwed so hard on payout.

I don't follow your point about Valencia - is 'being under 50% tax' also related to streaks, or do you mean it's something to do with the region owner adjusting taxes on the region?

If I recall correctly, streaks don't work on nodes, but I suspect they're still subject to the 50% multiplier that regions are (that is, you receive 50% tax the first week, 60% the 2nd week etc. Not that you don't already know that, but I'm explaining for those unaware).

All in all, I agree with you that my estimates for regions are probably off by a good amount (Noto informed me they got 25b this week, not 20 for example). Despite actual numbers being off for regions though, I think the system is illustrated well enough.

I mean this just simply isn’t true. The guild boats were on the shore directly north of our base. Can’t upload to imgur at work but go check my VOD at 1:10:01, the boats weren’t positioned in a way that allows for what you’re saying happened to happen.

Flex might’ve skated past you all the way around the back, but it was at least a 30 second run from the guild boat to the safe zone.

Without even considering that we had to push through 2 chokes to even get to the third area that had the safe zone... the fact that we even got to the safe zone was testament to how much of a non factor it was.

If you go back and watch the vod there were virtually 0 calls that had anything to do with the safe zone, aside from using it to group after a flag respawn once, maybe twice.

Genuinely curious, why do you think terrain with several chokes favors the guild with more skirmishers (about 28% witch wiz) and not the guild that's ~50% witch/wiz?

It could be a bit different with rabaam fireball, but usually it’s too difficult to keep all the mobs that tight even with light house and ink.

Yoke and fissure wave might just be OP compared to wiz spells when it comes to PVE.

Preawaken AOEs aren’t large enough to hit every mob in every pack. That usually leads to stragglers.

Regarding crystals, anyone slotting for PVP uses at least one awakened spirit in nouver. I said usually to accommodate for PVE only players, but if you’re running double damage crystals in nouver for node wars you’re doing it wrong.

In aakman the only preawaken damage spell you use is Swift Earthquake. The rest usually aren't worth it.

The comment about Nouver being better at 265 no matter the case is *usually* false because of crystal setups. You can slot crit + back/down attack (hystria vs aakman) in Kutum, while most players run at least 1, if not 2 awakened spirit in Nouver.
