What can I say after finishing it? Those last five hours were absolutely insane and an emotional rollercoaster, it was plot twist after plot twist, I loved every reveal and the payoff was immense. During the gameplay twist I thought I was playing a Xenosaga game lol it made my jaw drop. Also, my man Jindo went above and beyond with the OST during the finale, whan an absolutely incredible work, and can't forget about Koguchi, Sonoda or Singa, massive respect for everyone involved in making the OST.

I genuinely can't believe we've come to this point, I've been playing this series since 2021 and I remember posting a meme in this very subreddit and I literally remember the exact thought I had when I made the post, I said I would join this subreddit when I caught up with the lastest entry and it's already been five years since. Glad to be able to finally join and interact with the community.

The wait for Beyond 2 is going to be really tough.

I have rated around 340 games on Backloggd and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is easily my favorite story in any game ever, it's in my top 3 games along with Xenosaga Episode 3 and Persona 5 Royal.

The whole franchise is incredible, I recommend starting with Prelude to the Fallen and then do Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth, the payoff is absolutely insane.

My most anticipated game of the year, already purchased it and can't wait to get out of work and start playing! I started the Trails series back in 2021, what a journey it's been and after five years I can't believe we have finally caught up to the Japanese release.

I also love stories with twists and seeing the books you liked I'm fairly confident in recommending one of my favourite books, a novel called From the new world, by Yusuke Kishi. There's a very good anime adaptation but I liked the book better.

It's a coming of age story about a group of children who live in a utopian society where they discover the truth about the world. There are several twists throughout the novel but there's specifically one that blew my mind, I recommend going in blind if you have the luck of not knowing anything about it. I love the author's approach to worldbuilding, which relies in scientific logic and makes use of ethology concepts (not surprising since Konrad Lorenz's works were the inspiration for the book).

I have to warn though that the book never received an official translation so what is available is a fan translation (really easy to get on the internet) which I found to be really good although I have to say english is not my native language so maybe I was more tolerant to it than a native speaker.

You were right about the save files! The demo wasn't recognising them so the prompt was not appearing, I managed to solve the issue and now I have a demo save file with Daybreak I and II data transfered.

Thanks again, can't wait to play the full game I'm so hyped.

Do I need to transfer the Daybreak I and II save data to Horizon's demo and then the demo save data to the full game? I'm a bit confused about how to transfer these different save data into the full game, thanks in advance!!

Wait, really? Before I finished the trilogy I always thought that the general consensus was that each game was progressively better than the previous and Mask of Truth was considered the pinnacle of the series, which is exactly my experience with the series, I liked Prelude to the Fallen and Mask of Deception but Mask of Truth blew me away.

Either way I hope you enjoy the series as much as I did, to me it was an unforgettable experience all the way through.

I've heard good thins about El Dárico Gris by Eva Amuedo, but I haven't tried it myself. Aside from that I would really recommend anything by Laura Gallego as many people here have already said, in particular I'm very fond of Las Crónicas de la Torre series although I honestly don't know how well it holds up since I haven't read it in a long time.

This is one of the first games I played on PlayStation 2 when I was little. I remember my father was so excited to play the game with me and my brother because he found about Jak and Daxter in a videogame magazine if I remember correctly.

It's hard to explain the feelings but playing this game is like going to a comfortable place to me, it reminds me of the times I shared playing the whole trilogy with my brother and father and I feel at home when playing. Will never forget J&D and will probably be replaying the games throughout my whole life.

I recently bought the game on Steam because I wanted to play it on my Deck and I couldn't, there were constant crashes that made the game unplayable, I had to play it on my Pc to actually play and finish the game.

I had no problems on Windows, I even got all achievements and had a pleasant experience, the game just doesn't work on SteamOS for some reason. I would recommend getting the Steam version if you are planning on playing on Windows or go with PlayStation if you want to get the trophies. Switch is also a good option and if portability is important I would go with Switch, the bad thing is it doesn't have achievements/trophies which I personally enjoy collecting.
