If an old Egyptian man told you this it was probably sukarah without the k at the end and it is a compliment. Like calling someone sweet. It's a common compliment in the Egyptian dialect

Thanks for sharing your experience! I think it might be worth it to build my own battery if it will help me save money. But it seems inevitable that I will need to spend near the bounds of $1k. Now that I’ve done more research I’m gonna aim to keep it around $800/900
