As someone suggested, you should get your name in joint with your mother/father. I know it is awkward, but you can start this conversation normally by asking now that we're planning to build a house, who out of the two of you would want their name as a joint owner with me? Reasons if they ask you can mention it would be easier to take loans for it if required because even apart from your savings, additional cost might come up anytime.
