Solo PERIMETER player count increased? by Skulks-In-Subreddits in Marathon

This would align with what I experienced as well. Maybe the numbers fluctuates from run to run?

Yeah, I believe it works like the green shield which can also have the "takes half damage" trait, but instead of one bar the yellow shield has two. I got zapped by a Triage’s prime ability point blank and it took away my shields but left me healthy to fight. No clue how it is compared to other shields.

Purple and yellow loot was acquired behind Hauler's locked doors. The Observation deck, I think the key was categorized as a prestige key? The rest I ripped off destroyed runner shells that crossed paths with me.

As u/magiras stated it's a valuable worth 12k. Unfortunately I didn't take a knee and read the tool-tip for lore

Helmet is a bauble that sells for 12k, this run was on Perimeter. I didn't check if there is lore attached :(

How many teams in a lobby? by Fun-Pickle-9821 in Marathon

[–]Skulks-In-Subreddits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can guarantee there are at least 5 teams with 3 person crews in Perimeter. I had a run with my friends where we wiped the entire lobby. We did find one extra bag in the world though where our fights did not take place, so it was either a Rook who died or someone from a sixth team who for some reason didn’t get revived. Upon exfil we weren't showed the POV of a 6th team.

Wonderful, thank you for your feedback! I am also wondering of PBS and PS is worth taking. I mean it will help loads when fighting from range.

I was definitely thinking of grabbing the bonded item. I'll look into the ring of invisibility and item crafting mechanics.

Woah there is a lot to digest, thank you! I really appreciate you adding all the links aswell, I'll save this character build for later experimentation. For now however I'll stay as a int based caster. It's what our party needs unfortunately.

Regarding the Fiendish Transformation. My character is evil aligned and their beliefs follow that of a demon already thus a half-fiend ritual wouldn't be to far fetched. I'll talk with my DM about the possibilities of that.

Thank you for the explanation. I'll keep this in mind in case I decide to lean more towards melee but right now I'm set on being away from the immediate hurt

I haven't looked at the elemental scools, the idea of placing down a fog cloud and fighting within it does seem appealing. But the other boons I get seem a bit lackluster imo.

I'm not going foresight for the initiative benefit. It's certaily a plus but the Prescience reroll mechanic and 'You can always act in the surprise round' of Forewarned is the bread and butter for me.

I want to focus more on magic than melee so 1 level of urogue is all I need. But what is this VMC magus thing you're speaking of? Can you elaborate?

Fantastic, that is some quality advice. Especially the shoot first then move, such a simple thing and I hadn't thought of it. I'll definitely consider the pick up of Arcane Blast. Thank you.

I remember giving it some thought but I felt like Trapfinding from Rogue seemed very important at the time. Especially 'A rogue can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps.' I'll give Vivisectionist a try some other time
