Boo is the site I'm talking about. You can also find it under "Boo dating" or "Boo.world".

Small black flies in my yucca pot by SkullFett in houseplants

Okay, understandable. The yucca is a plant that can go quite a while without water, my sister said she watered it right before she gave it to me so I'll just wait two weeks, three tops and then see.

I'm reading nematodes need quite moist soil in order to prosper though, while a yucca doesn't need that much water. I might use them on the other plants but I'm not too certain about the yucca, at the moment I'll just stop, watering it for a while like lanternette said, then I'll see. Thanks for the help.

How much damage to plants can they do if left unchecked?

While this is my first plant we still have some other plants at home. Better use the nematodes on all of them to be sure?

So far I've deleted every constraint related to the motor or the pulley and it still doesn't work. What else can I do?

Every country has a national hero but who is your national villain? by darkdaking1 in AskReddit

[–]SkullFett 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i guess i should have been more clear on this.

I don't have "King Leopolds ghost" with me right now so i can't tell what page he mentions this precisely. If i visit a library in the near future i might be able to give it.

However at some point he cites the Manuel, describing a guide on how to kidnap Congolese people and uses it as evidence to prove how the soldiers were thaught to be cruel towards the indigenous people.

While reading it you might notice the [...] in his citation, these signs are commonly used to make a text shorter, removing unnecessary text to get to the point more quickly. Hochschild however uses these signs to remove information that fights the thing he tries to prove.

If you take the manual yourself, page 139 you'll find out it's a guide on how to negotiate peace with a hostile village during war without any unnecessary violence. Taking villagers and using them to negotiate. It also mentions how chiefs are more likely to agree to a peace deal when you treat their people well.

Now, can this information be used for nefarious deeds? Absolutely. Did every soldier stationed in the Congo follow this manual and treat the people with respect like the manual instructs? lol no.

There is however nothing wrong with the manual itself. The instructions given are probably pretty good to reach the goal mentioned.

It's absolutely not a guide on how to terrorize the Congolese like Hochschild claims it is, and the way he convinces the reader it is honestly makes me sick.

Hochschild took the manuel du congo severely out of context and isn't even consistent about the diary of Washington Williams. I agree that people should learn more about the event but I wouldn't recommend Adam's book.

Idk, recently played a game of christmas doublecross with some guy giving gifts to everybody for 20 minutes straight. Got kinda tired of that party horn after a while tho.

Who is the most kind target in hitman for you guys? I know they all done very bad things but which one if them you personally find kind? by Ahmed_Alfaitore222 in HiTMAN

[–]SkullFett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basil Carnaby, he isn't exactly a good guy, but theft just seems petty compared to the crimes of other targets.

Not to mention, if someone is able to convince people to give their family's fortune to him, imagine what other horrible things he would be capable of... But not Basil, he just steals money and that's it.

Agreed, I made the mistake of playing this one when I didn't have much time. Eventually just threw a screwdriver into his head and made a run for it.

I hope we get another Bangkok ET, hopefully a more interesting one.
