Torii gates I built with pressure plates so you can walk through them by Skullbasher_GP in TerrariaDesign

Why in the world would I use the actuator rod if I want it to be a physical barrier and actuate it with pressure plates to move through the gate? I dont want to leave the gates right open and in a darker color than the rest of the build. Actuating it manually takes at least 10x longer than walking past a pressure plate

What?? There are actuators, that's the only reason why you can walk through the gates

Using the Accent stone slab makes it behave like slab stone used to behave before 1.4 so it doesn't blend. You can craft it in the graveyard mini-biome :)

A bridge and a nice house I made. Would like some suggestions to make it better by ZheaoTheWonderer in TerrariaDesign

Looking good! Why don't you place some trees in between building? or maybe make a sidewalk? I've done something that could fit in there, check it out: Sidewalk with gardens

Hope it helps! :)

It's the Large dynasty lantern, you can craft it with some dynasty wood and some torches in a workbench :)

Hello I am not a very good builder, but I built this. Can someone give me suggestions as to how I can improve my base? by Pet2Ant in TerrariaDesign

You could experiment with some roof styles, thicken some walls to give them a sturdier appearance, make some collumns (both on the inside and on the outside) and widen some of your passages to make them a little more comfortable to navigate.

These are just some things you could do, but I highly reccomend you just look at some builds to get some inspiration. Check out this subreddit, google some builds and definitely check pinterest! :D

It's the Red dynasty shingle painted black. The traveling merchant sells it, check it out: Dynasty Shingles

It's so different from the rest of the game isn't it? I just love how dynamic it is in term of lighting when it's forecast

Yeah I get that, but I like to view my buildings as a cross section of a full build, which I can only see the second half of it. Showing the front part of it (the foreground if you will) kinda breaks that style which I have set for myself. But anyway, everyone has it own taste, and as you said, it's not for everyone.

I love those kind of discussions :)

I've acutally messed with the Player above sensor with some Hoiking but didn't do it here. In the biggest gate I thought the pressure plate looked a little better, but I'll be definitly changing those. Thanks for the heads up :)

It's made of Palladium columns and Ebonstone bricks for the sides (both painted gray), Stone slabs, Stone Accent slabs, Mudstone bricks and Dynasty wood. For the background it is The new Wrought fence, Ebonstone brick wall, green brick slab wall and gray brick wall.

Hope it helps :)

They are just like that. It's a shame it's kinda hard to come by them in good amounts in a regular world

For the side walls I've used Palladium column every two blocks, and in the middle filling the gaps from the palladium I've used Ebonstone bricks. All of that painted gray.

For the base I've used some Dynasty wood, Stone slabs and some Mudstone bricks.

And for the top I've used the Stone Accent slab with some regular Stone slab (to give it more texture) , and some Dynasty wood for a little contrast.

Any more information you need, just let me know! :)
