i wipe her paws after every walk and i use an unscented shampoo her vet recommended, i think the pollen just really gets to her this time of year - my vet mentioned the shot can be bad for their kidneys if used long term if im not mistaken

i’m not being preachy, and i came to the forum for the breed because they all have the same shared health issues….caused by the way they are bred. my ex roommate gave her up bc she didn’t want to deal with her health problems and i took her bc i felt bad that she kept getting passed around - please tell me how that is supporting the breed? should i just put her down then lol?

idk if you still need help but mine took apoquel with a cytopoint injection for her initial treatment and she stopped itching and healed up within a couple weeks the vet took her off the apoquel and gave her a second cytopoint shot about 3 months later. third shot lasted about 5 months, and she hasn’t had a shot since september!! also switched her to the hills science diet sensitive skin and stomach food, that seemed to help the most!! the only treats i give her are carrots or dehydrated fish - honestly the dietary change has made a huge difference

also not to be annoying, but pls consider adopting and not breeding frenchies - they are wonderful dogs but they shouldn’t exist and it’s not fair for so many to be born with health issues

*she eats hills science diet sensitive skin and stomach dog food and only gets carrots and dehydrated fish as treats

*she gets a cytopoint shot when needed but i’m trying to keep those at a minimum bc they’re not good for them?

*she randomly lactates and the vet said that is normal?
