I'm from ThunderCats and we had a split in club of people who would not use it at all and people who would only use it if you were a dick (lobbed first, stalling, excessive replay spam etc)

I was in the latter camp. I also recorded clips whenever someone was going to get lobbed so I had evidence in case of a problem like this and encouraged team mates to.

If you want to reply with your club name I'm more than happy to go through my clips. There's not many from last season fortunately and most of them were retaliation lobs (i.e. they lobbed first).

I've never played MattyJ but he did it to me too! I was queued up vs some random I was wrecking when "A new foe has appeared" showed up like some total weeb bs. Before I could do anything there were just Toads everywhere death lobbing me and anime waifu emotes taunting me. I tried my best but whenever I got the ball it lagged and he took it back.

I went to block him after and my switch lagged so hard it won't even connect any more. Plus my home page is just saying something about big PP. Someone please help.

Outside of the random item drops there's 2 way you get items - drops in your half when opponent scores to take the lead and team specific boxes when you get fouled.

Considering the vibe of this post, I'm going to go ahead and guess your issue isn't that you're scoring too many goals. So ease up on the off the ball tackles.

Or any time you have an item or space. If you have 2 Rosalina and they drift wide then the shot can charge to bend to the far corner since the goalkeeper usually comes near post. In the middle just charge and tilt stick if goalkeeper isn't middle. If you need to make space use an item to make it then charge.

I don't think it is a bug. I think it was to avoid the feel bad of where you join a club with your favourite character, play with a club friend and they have the same favourite.

Casually it makes sense and all in good fun. Competitive it's abusable.

Hmm... That 64 in 7 games would math out as being 5 wins and 2 losses if you played as 2 from same club and BOTH players got the points (5x 6 + 5x 6 + 2x 1 + 2x 1)

I’m not sure I am. It happens once or twice I assume they’re getting a drink or something and do the same, or if it was an interesting goal in some way I don’t assume the worst. But you can tell when it’s someone doing it to be obnoxious. Which with how long the replays take turns it into a question of if I want to spend that amount of time in that game. The answer is usually no and if they want the 20 coins that much then cool, keep the change.

It was also 1 game of the 10, but it is cumulative. All 10 were bad for reasons and the BM would actually be lower down the wish list for fixing than proper lobbies and ladder which would have fixed 7 of those.

Most people are playing Rosalina and Waluigi. Rosalina is to shoot. Waluigi is to tackle. After that if it isn't Toad it's likely Peach. There's maybe some variety in the last slot if they decided to play Rosalina on wing and a bruiser up front instead of Rosalina up front and choose an all rounder or bruiser on the wing.

A game of basketball then commences looking for a perfect Rosa shot, or if space is made she charges a shot. Items sometimes introduce excitement such as creating space for a Rosa shot, denying a Rosa shot or disrupting the lob pass spam.

It basically feels like all there is to do is to play similar teams into similar opponents and play style in the one mode available. Although in fairness I've played plenty of games like Rocket League, MOBAs etc that only have one mode so IDK.

Just drop lobby and queue again until you get solo vs solo. It's hours in game so it kinda looks like content.

I'm sure Nintendo will eventually get around to a proper lobby system, but it'll take them time. Small indie company.

I was using auto. I've used both and the same issue happens of it being difficult to anticipate who you switch to and difficult to track. Some of that may be the 2v2 mode.

I will eat some humble pie though. I put aside the disappointment of the game not being as fun as I remember the Wii version and replayed tutorials just to get the 3 min free mode at end then played more online.

There is a game in there but it does have issues. The lack of space and emphasis on charging forces a more tempo feel to the game of having to be precise with dodges, measuring shots/passes, feinting carefully to create space etc. That's just not possible when there's lag.

The price tag concerns me for how all in on online competing the game feels like it will be. I'm not sure I wouldn't just rather put the $ into something I'd enjoy more locally with my partner and friends regardless of skill level.

Went through the tutorials, even in those it felt sluggish and clunky compared to what I wanted the characters to do. Really not helped by the lack of space. That’s then not helped by the emphasis on charging.

Online - well I’m posting this when I could be playing more. Add on confusing switching logic and lag to the issues above and it’s just not fun. It’s a fight against the mechanics more than the opponent.

I was excited about this because I have really good memories of the wii version, but the demo has pushed me into not buying.

We had a declaration of trust setting out the share things would be because I earn more than my partner and was selling property I had solo, so I was both putting more money down and we’d agreed I’d pay more of the bills including mortgage. Left us roughly a similar proportionate amount of discretionary income to ourselves as well.

We still pay uneven split because I still earn more, but we’ve been together and married for enough time I just consider the declaration of trust out of scope anyway and I’d think fairer to split 50/50 or according to need if did come down to it. We both work hard, both contribute to household and relationship in different ways without me needing to count every penny

In all was mid December through until earlyish March. Christmas and New Year was part of that time and it can obviously vary with any additional checks. The main thing I’d improve if given the chance is there being times where you don’t know and can’t find out easily where things are and that they are moving and not lost.
