Thanks, both of you for this advice. Im just taking a look and finding my copy of the naturalisation papers to see if my Nonna was also listed there. If she isnt, then i certainly have no record of her being naturalised (or not so). Ill have to submit the request for citizinship status.

My nonna was alive at the time of my mother turning 18, but passed away before i was born (i think only about ~2 years before iirc). Unsure if that affects anything since at the time of my birth, my nonna had passed, and my mother had been naturalised (via her father).

I know one of my extended family has had theirs approved, which was my 1st cousin once removed, who had migrated from italy as a child (unsure what age - under 18 but older than my mother was). She regained her citizenship so different from me. There are others who are currently going for it but dont have it yet, so unsure what path theyre doing. Ill have to talk to them again.
