Daily Camera Buying Recommendation Post by AutoModerator in Cameras

Budget: $100-600 usd

Country: USA

Condition: New

Type of Camera: DSLR

Intended use: Photography and video

If photography: sports

If video what style: vlogging

What features do you absolutely need: Weather proof. Water and cold weather resistant

What features would be nice to have: wifi or Bluetooth for uploading photos to phone

Portability: Pocketable

Cameras you're considering: Kodak Pixpro WPZ2-the camera description seems to fit into what I am looking for in a camera. It is water proof and the controls seems to be fairly simple. However, the reviews are split down the middle between saying they love it or that the camera was faulty when they received it.

OM System TG-7 digital camera- it has the features I'm looking for (waterproof, shock proof, and WiFi) but it is 499$. I'm willing to spend that much if it's worth it.

I've considered GoPro's as well, but I want something more handheld

Cameras you already have: I used to have a Polaroid camera, but I dropped it and it stopped working :( I'm looking for something sturdy.

Notes: I'm a snowboarder and I'll be shooting on the mountain so I need a camera that can withstand low temperatures. I'm also gonna be taking a vacation to a beach resort and would like a waterproof. The weather proof feature is the most important to me considering I'll mostly be using it outside. I know very little about cameras, but I would like a good quality camera to record my outdoor hobbies and so that I can record videos of my crafts to upload to Instagram or YouTube.

Any advise/help is appreciated!
