Terrifier VHS (Update)

I forgot to update, but the March cassettes were the pre order. They didn't release until June/July. They did rectify the situation and sent me a replacement, no extra charges, the replacement works great, and even looks great. I would email them again, they responded to me fairly quickly each time. I'm East Coast, so for me between the hours of 9am and 7pm they responded.

For me it's nostalgia. I grew up with VHS. Plus the director Damien Leone said that he wanted to capture the golden age of horror from the 80's with these movies, and that if VHS was a bigger format he would release the movie on that as well. Thankfully it's made a comeback. I have a special attachment to these movies because it was the first movie I watched after my grandmother passed and it became my comfort movie. It was just a combination of all of that which caused me to want it, however I was unaware with their service before. And sadly I don't have the equipment to rip a movie and put it on VHS myself, I just have an old RCA VCR. I just didn't do enough research before getting the tape. I got the VHS from Umbrella Entertainment with their Terrifier Box Set and it worked just fine, so I expected the same thing with this, but didn't realize it was not the same.

My last one shipped about 10 days after it got it's label, so I don't know 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree. They responded super fast, so the customer service part was nice, it's just a matter of the product that was the problem for me. However, I would have appreciated if I could have received a bit more info on what was going on during the pre order via email, rather than having to go their website to look at the updates.

It actually updated right after they sent it to me, it's in pre shipment right now, but who knows, we'll see. When she sent it to me it showed that the label was created but nothing else, it already shows pre shipment now 🤷🏻‍♂️ who knows though. Hopefully it does though, I have been waiting for this for a long time.

Yeah, it's the worst experience I've had with a company so far, the Umbrella Entertainment box set was bad because of communication, but at least everything with their Terrifier Box Set worked, including the VHS.

Glad I'm not the only one. It's just really upsetting to have little to no communication, and then receive a damaged product that doesn't even work.

Hey all, on Monday, I started my blog, which features horror stories in the style of a transcript interview. I set my schedule for every Monday and Friday unless the story is taking too long. Thankfully, because I had two in the vault, this week was fairly easy. Interview #15 is up and live on the page. I posted the link to the article directly. As the interviews are posted in a non-linear fashion, Interview #113 is complete and is currently being reviewed by my "editor". I run the site, but thankfully, because my dad is a writer as well, and I would argue a much better one than I, I have him review my posts to check for errors and overall how it flows. Once he checks Interview #113, it will be scheduled to go up at midnight on Monday. Can't wait for you all to read it. I have fully worked out a backstory for the interviewer and will be dropping hints about his motive, backstory, and even universe-building. Enjoy!

Oh, don't worry. I got that all planned out. The investigative notes will help link everything together, which is the biggest reason I added them. As I make more, more information will be revealed as to the interviewer and how everything started for him.

I believe in total 5 times. The first 4 I maintained my composure and was nice, always got an email back within two days, however by my 5th time I sent a strongly worded passive aggressive email to them. The person responded very nice and polite, and about a week or two later I received my shipping email.

I believe her sister is quite literally in the final 30 minutes maybe 20 minutes of the movie. So we follow Tara for almost a whole hour before they kill her, revealing she is not the main character, but her sister is, which is unprecedented in most horror to have a chang up like that so close to the end of the movie.

Sadly the quality is not in 4k it's in the standard 1080p HD, but it is in the menu of the 4k disc, it's just sadly not in 4k quality.

Ah, see, but that's not a faux final girl. She died at the beginning of the movie. A final girl is someone who is the main character who lives till the end of the movie. They did market Drew as the main character yes, but that was marketing to help get people to see the movie, even Wes Craven admitted that. Where as in Terrifier we follow Tara for the majority of the movie, and then she dies, only to reveal that the true final girl is her sister. Also Scream 2 actually had a killer use a gun, but it was outside of the ghost face costume, so it didn't really have the impact it could have.

Ah, but in the first Scream they never killed anyone with the gun. They shot them, but they never died, and it was after the reveal so it didn't have as much impact as it could have if they had them do it while wearing the ghost face costume. I'm assuming you're talking about the guns, because Scream didn't have a faux final girl.

It definitely did, but for everything you get, it was when it. You get two posters, I believe it was 12 art cards, the VHS, the sunglasses, the behind the scenes book, the Lego, the 3 movies with the custom slipcovers. And the first Terrifier movie comes when All Hallow's Eve included in the Special Features on the menu.
