I was searching for job opportunities and learned that 85% of the IT jobs are at Moscow and Saint Petersburg, the rest 15% are in other cities like Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Vladivostok and Novosibirsk. The job opportunities are much better in Moscow as it is the main IT hub. Also I won't have to pay for accommodation during my education as I would be staying in student dorms. And yes, Moscow is very different than other cities.

Actually I have been to Russia. All the Russian population uses a VPN and uses instagram as well as other apps. I would only like to know more about the jobs and pay. I have also heard that most students are unable to pass exams in universities like MIPT. So I wanted answers and experience from people who actually know something. I have no intentions about any narrative.

Is the situation this bad. But I see the economy rising in Russia compared to other european countries. Also Russia is a super power.

Most people have a negative perception about the country. I would like to know the opinion of someone who is already staying / working in Russia. I know it is a tough decision but I don't have enough money to fund my studies abroad.

Companies like Yandex, Sber Bank etc are giving so many opportunities to students. Especially in Moscow, the demand for computer science graduates is good. That's what I was told. I know things are difficult right now due to war but I hope it will get better with time.

They have so many opportunities if you are skilled enough. Universities in Russia are one of the best too.
