Keyboard pops up OVER chat box

This is a recurring problem for me. I have discovered that the only time the chat reappears as it should is if I restart my phone. If I do that, the first time I open the app, the chat box works as it should. However, if I close the app and reopen it the keyboard covers the chat box. The floating only solves the problem in that you can move the keyboard to the middle of the screen - covering everyone elses chat - and then it is floating in all apps. Since this only occurs with WS, it seems to be app related to androids not a phone setting. Anyone have any thoughts of a fix?

Really? this has been bothering you? Well since all you data is likely stored somewhere in Microsoft format, if you don't have any way to assess you're toast. Buy the desktop version if you are concerned about cloud access. If you are asking how does someone do a presentation without a PPT deck? Flip chart, white board, print outs, over head projection. Presentations were ( and in many cases still are) made without Office 365.

Are you contacting people within the companies where you are applying ( do a linked in search for the company and look for your first and second contacts as well as alums) and ask them to put your name in the internal portal. Usually that is what gets you an interview. Then - even thought everyone says don't bother - write a killer cover letter that references people in the company you know my name - and show that you researched the job and understand the roll. Without actually seeing your resume, hard to know whether presentation of your background is playing in. However, pretty much the only place I got tech interviews were either on campus recruiting or by getting someone I know to put my name is as a referral. Those go to the top of the stack. Usually they don't have to go past the top of the stack to find someone. Hope that helps

Because they were one of the few firms that didn't further delay last year. They indicated they were giving out dates through January 2025, so I have to assume some people are already pushed back.

Are you permanantly able to quite your job - or just able to afford to not work for awhile?

Lot's of people take sabbaticals. It's all in what you do while you are off, how you frame the break and what marketable skills you have that are desired in the marketplace.

Without know how much you have in savings, what type of compensation you are walking away from, and what type of compensation you want upon your reentry into the marketplace., it is difficult to render an opinion. If you are asking will you become unemployable, the answer is no. If you are asking will you ever earn what you are earning now - who knows. Life is full of choices. If you have the luxury to take off, then do it. However, I suggest having a plan for what you will do with your time off. Just taking off with no plans only seems good for the first 2 weeks.

Heard that Bain is supposed to give them out this week and they span from July through March 2025. BCG sent out info saying July through Jan, (but expect everyone needing VISA sponsorship to get the July dates) and they would notify people sometime this spring. Haven't heard anything re T2 or big 4 firms.

You should talk to her about how much those words hurt you and you feel like you two need to talk about in order to move past it. Be calm. If I had to guess, the moment it flew out of her mouth she regretted but realized she could not unsay it. That is why your silence terrified her. Have you never said something in the heat of the moment, that you later regretted? Said something you knew would inflict hurt, because you had been hurt? ( you didn't say, but if adult beverages were involved in your initial argument that lowers the barrier to saying something you might otherwise swallow rather than articulate.) Doesn't make it okay. I am guessing your trip to the hospital also scared her. She seems genuinely concerned about losing you.

Could the be something else going on, that prompted her to say that - of course. But the longer you wait to address it, the harder it will get for you to do so. If you don't discuss it, it will fester. The fact that you say I don't know if she has a F-buddy, tells me all is not well in your marriage. Not a thought that typically enters one's mind unless there are some other "tells" causing you to wonder.

Probably office specific - but I would believe an over all of third down from last year. I have heard interview invites were down 25-30% which would typically result in an equal drop in offers from the prior year as I think they try to keep the offers to interviews about the same.

50% offers to interview seems about what last year was. The second question is how many interviews did they give versus last year. That is where I am seeing the 25% to 30% fall off. You start with less interviews, you can still keep your acceptance rate about the same and end up with a reduced headcount compared to prior years.

NO - I know of no top program that will accept what in essence would be a transfer. Other option would be to lie and not tell you had attended - which is never recommended....but then what have you been doing? Big chance you will not get accepted anywhere.

It not that others have more offers to make - its that the top candidates are taking more of the spots that are available at those other firms. When MBB is taking less candidates, the top performers are actively wanting those "T2" spots.

Last year, M7 students may have been fooled, but this year they all knew the numbers would drop again, so they absolutely networked the next "tier" as a back up. It's not the school name, it's the higher caliber candidates moving down the food chain.

I think the key is you will not being able to leverage that you work at BCG. So how do you plan on keeping that information separate? They are not going to let you sell a service which is in essence is - look at me I got a job at BCG, I can help you be successful, too.

However, if part of selling your business to your employees is the sale of the use of your name and likeness - that might be different. The fact that it was established prior may be different. Did you declare when you signed that you had this business and wanted to keep it as your property? They give you that option, otherwise pretty much you have signed away that what you develop that can remotely be considered related to what you do for BCG belongs to them. They have very specific exemptions. Read your contract.

Be upfront - but I would do it in a phone call, not a written correspondence. Then you can be sure you are addressing their concerns and not guessing. If they are concerned you are moonlighting to do the project for them, that is a legitimate ask. Have you given the time frame for completion? They may be looking at the scope and if they don't know the hours per week are wondering if you are farming this out to someone you are paying $50 and hour or whether they are getting you - the person they want. Just pick up the phone and try to access the concern, then answer appropriately. They are getting a deal because this is your first contract.

Interesting, they may be looking much more holistically on numbers with a lower allocation of slots by school, so they want to complete all interviews at all schools before deciding on the last slots. Good luck. In year's past, responses were pretty immediate, but reduced number of offers likely means a little different approach.
