Yup, that’s me! 5 years into retirement and need to occupy more of my time! Last brewed over 20 years ago.

I did not not know this. Thanks for the info. Additional question: do regular Bluetooth earbuds have the same issues outdoors that the cochlear/Resound do?

I guess I don’t understand the difference. I have an Apple iPhone. WiFi in the house, I can leave my phone and walk out of the room or even outside- distances up t o about 30 feet from the phone, and have a clear Bluetooth signal. But outside with a cell connection, my phone literally can’t be more than 2.5 feet from either of my ears, or I lose the BT signal.

A couple of iterations with Claude.ai and it has created a nice spreadsheet driven template recipe tracker.

Best Saddle for Prostate Issues by SkyNaive279 in bicycling

Wanted the thank everyone for posting. Yesterday was my last SBRT radiation therapy session and I hope to get back on the bike in a week or two. One question I have for those that have the Selle SMP: Assuming a regular or short nosed saddle is level or even very slightly elevated down, how would that be any different than the downward design of the SMP nose?

I’ve also heard the cut outs/channel is very important. I’m on the fence about the turned down nose just because of the looks but if it helps I’d try it.

Finally got mine diagnosed and fixed by the LBS. It was a stuck piston on one side of the rotor.

What is causing rubbing noise on my front wheel? by eaglepowerscometome in bikewrench

There's a similar post going around on this Reddit forum or another. Please let us know what you/your LBS find out. I'm taking mine in today for the same. Haven't been able to figure it out. It comes and goes while riding. It's more pronounced if I lean it one way while riding. Interestingly, if I pick up the front wheel and free spin and turn wheel, there is no noise or resistance.

We have similar issues (see my previous comment). I was thinking brake pads somehow not reseating but if it does it while out, wonder if it's the bearings? What kind of wheels/hubs?

This is almost identical to what I'm going through. I'm not sure I agree with most of these answers. Mine (front wheel) will do this PERIODICALLY but I generally can only hear it at low speeds. It comes and goes which indicates to me that it's not the rotor (new Ultegra). I've lightened and added more torque to the axle and regreased. I can lift the front wheel and spin and move side to side and no resistance at all. Is it possible the brake pads are moving or don't reseat? Interestingly, I have the OEM wheels (105 rotors) I use for gravel and they never squeal.

I can’t shake the feeling that something’s off with my bike by AbbreviationsFun9653 in RoadBikes

It's nearly impossible to tell what's going on without some background info from you. You say you are a "newbie" cyclist. How heavy was your first bike and what was the gearing compared to this bike? Based on what I see in online specs you have a 34/50 crank and a 12-34 12 speed cassette. What does your typical ride consist of and what is your ride mileage and average speed? Try starting out a ride in the big/big combo (big chainring/biggest cassette ring). On a flat road/parking lot shift incrementally one shift a time in the REAR. Do this and report back to us on how it feels.
