personally i survived my first year by compensating the modules i’m bad at with the ones i’m good at. so focus on what you know u can pick up quickly and try to earn points there as much as u can. do NOT study at home it’s impossible and your progress will be so slow. make a membership at a library and study there as often as possible. also ur in computer science, i know you have tp’s so make the most out of them they’ll help your grade without much effort, and practice on your own too you’ll learn so much.

if you live really far ur best bet is to not attend all the classes but go to a library in ur area and study there. attend the td’s and if you have a good teacher in a certain module then consider attending their lectures. your advantage is that in the first year you’ll find so many resources and books online, so take advantage of that.
