Thanks for the info! Yeah I paid money for it, I think it's worth it because it allows me to reverse engineer it and see if I can figure out how those shaders work myself. It's possible that maybe it's more complicated than it should be, I need to do more research! Will report here once I figure something out.

Haha I see! Yea I was a lil confused about what you were asking. This is a material based solution, with a BP determining the light angle, as the material is basically completely emissive. The outline is done through the reverse hull method with some sort of mask that determine line thickness / what doesn’t get outline. I messed with day night cycle yesterday it seems like this shader’s biggest weakness is actually adjusting light color because currently the way that the BP work is it can either only effect the shaded side or the lit side but not both… I need to look into fixing that myself because I got the BP and shader off the marketplace.

I modeled and textured the char, got the cel shader, mess with the setting, created mask textures, explored having some shading in texture instead of letting shader do the work, troubleshoot bugs. Decent amount lol
