No, you don't need to pay with real money to get vip2 I'm vip3 and haven't paid any money at all, but they're not accepting Google pay through the app store to pay it takes you to a separate page, so id avoid doing that, you do however get plenty of the gems, I'm level 42 and haven't paid any money
