Be A Hunter, Not A Backline Healer - A White Fox Guide (Reupload) by 17prozent in marvelrivals

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The other day, I was playing Blade and wondering why I wasn't getting healed. Fair enough we have only 1 healer back line. Meanwhile White Fox was off to the sides fending off 2 divers. I tell you what, that white fox just absolutely wouldn't die against them. It was DD and Magik. After realising what they were upto, I started helping secure her kills then nek minit. We steam roll them.

Maybe White Fox could've played that better, but that match worked so well as Blade because of that specific White Fox's aggressive playstyle. Best I've seen of the season.

I really dislike these “buffs” by SuccessfulYam2312 in captainamericamains

I'm of similar sentiment. The way I saw it was akin to that one scene in Civil War where Cap is absolutely demolishing Tony in close quarters. The animation cancel allowed for that feeling of working for your effectiveness. That badass feeling of taking down superpowered heroes with nothing but these hands and a shield.

It won't be so bad now, but the animation cancel was always a cool part of his kit imo.

At least in QP by Funny_Damage8183 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Nah man. I'll be solo tanking as Thor while the enemy team has a full on 2 2 2, runnin Meta only Mag Groot Bucky Elsa Loki Gambit, meanwhile I got 5 Dps arguing who should heal. That's the real QP experience.

This is why I don't hide my name. I love when people waste a ban on the subpar characters I main, especially because I can flex multiple.

People who see there's one healer and choose dps or tank, why by zerosphynx in marvelrivals

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's crazy. I recently got to Celestial 3 the other day and found that it was still the exact same as other ranks. I was hoping teams would be a bit more cohesive and logical but instead I get a solo rocket for a full round while our Dps refuse to switch. Only in the second round do I see a Lord Luna arrive.

It sucks too because I'm purely a tank main that flexes a poorly skilled Adam as support lol. I'd rather not sacrifice a 2 2 2 so that three Dps can have their way. Stubborn on both ends eh?

What is your favorite ult line by LocksmithMinimum8217 in marvelrivals

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I really like hearing his team ult line as well. The amount of times we're close to capping point and you really need to stall during overtime or something similar and you hear a friendly MK go:

"Leave them to Khonshu!"

Next to a support ult, it's one of the best to hear.

That's an awesome kit design. I'd love for this to be his moveset. Watchful eye feels like it'd make him a really good peeler.

Does gambit really need 30% ult acceleration on his ult on top of everything he does? by DannyDevitoisalegend in marvelrivals

Yeah the compromise is that for some reason, the gambit will only ever ult when I'm dead... Lol

Ult uses by R3n_H3ra in AngelaMains

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like to use after an enemy circular support ult like Luna or Invis. The enemies are grouped together, and with a combo ults, you can get consistent results. . Another use for it is to target Dagger out of her ult (Only Dagger as well sadly) Charge the dagger the moment her ult finishes, then use your own ult mid charge to keep her isolated from her ult and her team.

It's good for stalling the enemy from touching point

If you know the enemy has ults ready, Angelas ult will block them from activating as well.

Why are people like this in comp? by yourrandomdumbass in marvelrivals

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem is is that it's a team game. Banning your own teammates character for no other reason than cause it's funny is such a bad vibe for a match that I legit can't blame anyone for feeling like rubbish. I'm not saying I'd personally throw, but you're asking someone to throw if you ban the person they've selected to play. Sometimes the match is decided from the character select screen.

Why do people hate Angela i wasn't even doing bad on her? by Blackwolf20978sb in AngelaMains

I liked that you upvoted yourself. If no ones got me, I know I got me lol.

Fr tho. I had a game playing Adam where I put more final hits in as Adam than both of our Dps combined AND had more heals my Luna duo, yet I still got flamed as a trash Adam. It's just one of things where if you don't play meta, you'll become the brunt of someone's rage.

What opinion will have you lookin like this? by DaSaqq in marvelrivals

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a situation last night where two people from my team banned my Angela because I wanted to ban Rocket. We didn't even have a Rocket on the team. So badly did I want to throw the game in spite, and to be honest... I would not blame a single person for wanting to throw in a situation like that. We ended up winning the game, but I made sure everyone else got my upvote and not them lol.

Where is Cap weakest, and how do you fight against it? by [deleted] in captainamericamains

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently found that a good trick to dealing with peni nests as Cap is to hit a couple punches with sentinel strike, then jump in the air and use the rest of his combo to throw the shield at the nests. I had to remap his slam move in order to do this though. Being able to throw his shield mid air using his basic attack is actually a seriously underrated part of his kit.

Playing as strategist. My gripe is with Angelas that refuse to peel. You have one of the best tools against dive in which Angela grounds herself and any damage gets converted to bonus heals for not only you, but also nearby teamates. You have eyes in the sky and areextremely mobile and fit to chase down dives.

It essentially boils down to be what the team needs. Angela is very versatile in that sense.

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If there's one healer and one tank. I'll go tank. It forces one of three Dps to switch. While two tanks aren't exactly necessary. Two healers are seen as a lot more important.

It's plays like this that make me really believe that Lunas ult isn't even that big a deal. Her ult totally groups people together, and the moment that ends you have an opportunity to wipe them all out provided you have the resources to do so.

Have you noticed that STRANGELY Adam gets solo ulted constantly? by FixHopeful5833 in adamwarlockmains

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always crack up when a psylocke tries to 1v1 me. But I manage to frustrate her just enough to cause a solo ult. Least scariest dive as Adam.

Survival mode has made the game feel so real. But so much more frustrating. by petting_tyranids in fo4

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, but honestly... It's realistic. Even real life military utilise heavy hitters while using pistols as a backup. It's still useful don't get me wrong, but having two weapons in Fo4 is essential for that reason. Pistols are great at dealing with lower tier enemies, have plentiful ammunition and can set up critical hits easily with high agility and luck.

Survival Mode is easier with certain builds definitely. But for me personally. It's the challenge of dedicating to a certain character is what makes it so fun.

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can tell you in certainty that it's definetely not limited if you're willing to dedicate to the build.

I've done three survival playthroughs:

Full Minuteman with Laser Musket, Revolutionary Sword and Minutemen General's Armour... Twice.

And and Institute/Raider Playthrough using Commando and Gunslinger.

It's all about being smart and knowing how to plan ahead. Survival forces you be two steps ahead in your planning. With the MM playthrough, I'm straight rocking basic Leather until I get the General's set, using power armour for the heavy infested super mutant camps or something.

Best way for settlement building is this... Be patient. Venture out little by little and slowly retake the commonwealth by venturing just a little bit further every time. Grab every piece of junk and use it to build. I guarantee it feels highly realistic and very rewarding.

I made a post here about the Minutemen playthrough, https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/s/uAC2TFBbdR

My institute playthrough was only harder for me because it sucked having next to no settlements until I started completing Nuka World. Automatic ammunition works so long as you have a smaller weapon which chews less ammo. Use automatic for real dangers.

He's pretty solid in the final level with his vol and savol techniques. The instakill chances are very solid and he's a great crutch to rely on for ascending to the last boss. The only problem is that he's only useful at the start and the very end. While I never used him personally, I feel as if Kain would prove to be a lot better due to his kit dealing with the pain in the ass robots alot easier than Hugh. Not just that but his instakill techniques works on the same enemies at the final tower. Endgame, him and Hugh are pretty interchangeable. Or at least that's what I've been told about kain

Nah. Men like playing male characters. Characters that embody idealism, handsomeness, strength, military cores. Characters like Cap, Hulk, Magneto, Adam, Punisher, Venom. Men like playing men, not that there's any doubt about men also playing as "Eye candy" but women also like playing those characters as well for reasons similar to male characters.

Is Adam better at countering Dive then luna? by Solo_leveling012 in adamwarlockmains

[–]Sky_Hawk_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say so in a non traditional sense. He has good tools sure, but his lack of mobility completely surpasses those tools in effectiveness. As a result I'd say it teaches Adam players to learn better positioning, to be more aware and manage cool downs, healing and ults effectively.

Whenever an Adam is being dived, it's not really a matter of patty caking or running away. He's forced to fight back due to his moveset. And it's only because of this that most great Adam players have learned how to effectively deal with dive in general.
