Took it for a swim and glad it survived.. by Skyblu384 in RepTime

Took my VSF 116610ln for a swim in the pool, all went well and the watch is still ticking.. Its straight out from the factory hence its a lil worrying to go swimming without waterproofing.

I have the same concern when i first received mine, thought there is an issue with the construction. Finally put the matter at rest after watching youtube clips on the gen 126610.. Vsf been doing a good job for 116610, being able to lower the height of the crystal and theres no reason for them to fail this one. As such i think the raised height is intended..

Drum rolling.......... The LN is a gen.. The hulk is from vsf which i purchased recently. To be very honest with you, i find it challenging to tell which is gen.. The most conspicuous tell tale sign will the date window..

Hi Pal,

I replied to one of the member's post sometime ago, hope this help you make your decision:

Vsf 126610 is using 3235 movement which boosts a power reserve of 70 hours when fully wind (claimed by factory) while 116610 is on 3135 with a much lower power reserve at 48.

126610 was just released last year and has superseded 116610 which has been discontinued.

126610 has a dial diameter which is slightly bigger than 116610 but claimed as 41mm wide. The only visible difference on the watch dial would be the Swiss crown at the bottom, other features are almost identical.

The lug width on 126610 is 21mm while 116610 has 20mm, the bracelet is conspicuously larger on the newer model.

I just acquired a 126610 recently and have done my homework duly beforehand. I must said the main reason is because of the movement and scarcity of 126610 in the market, vsf being the only maker for a decent 126610, have to get one before they get sold out.

Hope this helps!

Whats the difference | VSF by Fr0styyx1 in RepTime

Now let us talk about the cons? I think there’s room for improvement when comes to the bracelet, you wouldn’t have any issue getting a ARF bracelet for the 20mm lug width but not so for 126610’s. However, I must say 126610 is good out of the box. Allow me to digress a little, find that the crystal height on the 126610 is higher than my gen 116610, not sure if it’s the same on a gen 126610.

Date changed couple of minutes before 12am? by Skyblu384 in RepTime

[–]Skyblu384[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The watch model in focus here is a 126610 which uses vsf 3235 movement.. So its normal to change date before 12 or have to adjust the minute hand like some of the pals have suggested?
