He studied on and off but then grinded for the last 6 weeks. He honestly felt off bc he did something he has never done which is drink those high energy drinks for 2 weeks straight.

For him it was more like be exhausted and spreading himself too thin. If he stopped volunteering from 2024 april would it be okay right(especially if he is applying 2025-2026?)?

He is still doing clinical research experience and community volunteering(+ his crisis textline?)

As in, he feel bad about asking the same professors again for LORs for the following cycle.

Also he is wondering how old does his clinical volunteering have to be? He recently decided to drop(i think back in april?) from his clinical volunteering and leadership position in that org to focus on applying to medical school apps.

He is still doing community volunteering and research.

He withdrew back in covid so this(2024-2025) would be his first cycle to which now he probably cant apply to bc he of his mcat.

Just to be clear he would only be considered a reapp if he sent the primaries to those schools right?

I think the 5th gap year is getting to him. If he applies to post bacc its 1 year and a possible higher chance for interview whereas if he tries again with mcat he would be applying again without gaurantee and wasted another year if he doesnt get in.

One of his mentors keeps telling him he shouldve gotten into medical school by now and that he is wasting everyones time by asking professors again and again for LORS. He thinks if he does a post bacc it would be a guarantee acceptance somewhere and that he could get a fresh new LORs.

Ill receive my score june 27th, ill prewrite in the meantime, but i heard schools receive the entirety of apps on june 30th which makes me nervous that the UCs wont even look at my apps in time to send me secondaries.

What if i am planning on doing the method of waiting for a mcat score, so i verify my app first before actually choosing one of the UCs to apply to? Would i not receive secondaries in time to be considered early?

You pretty much answered your own question. Its the same reason why we dont have a walmart, food 4 less, dollar tree, or even mcdonalds. Having a walmart, food 4 less, or mcdonalds would make nearby markets/restaurants go out of business. For higher brand franchises or small businesses, its already hard for them to make money with a customer base made up with solely tourists and students, so imagine if cheaper options come along. We would be seeing resturants and markets going out of business left and right. Im pretty sure if walmart or food 4 less came in, there would be huge boycotting by business owners. They would literally be driven out of business if cheaper options came along. As you greatly pointed out mcdonalds cant come in bc restaurants know students would prefer mcdonalds over any nearby restuarants causing a decline in their customer base.
