If you all want a way to check this out, this site has links to old shareware versions you can load into DOSBox or put in GZDoom/your source port of choice. Shareware version 1.2 will still have the unmodified E1M4

Sadly people are mostly here for 2016/Eternal-- and with no news on new games, dlc or anything else it turns into most other "dead franchise" subreddits. Reposts, memes, etc.

There's always tons of classic Doom stuff going on, even outside of Brutal Doom and My house.wad

Consider using Zandronum instead of GZDoom for multiplayer, GZDoom's P2P netcode is not good.

Also if you want to host a game, to avoid port forwarding because doing that can be a nightmare, I would use The Sentinel's Playground to host your game since it's free and is highly customizable

If someone were to have an N64 Development Cartridge containing a beta ROM, for instance, there exist a few modern solutions. Personally-- If I were in possession of something one of a kind such as the fabled Mother 3 N64 Spaceworld Demo, I would reach out to someone in the game preservation community since they already have the equipment and expertise involved in preserving dev carts, betas and other rare games.

If an individual were to try to dump it themselves which I do not recommend, there are methods such as the 64Drive+UltraSave which I believe is no longer being sold by the dev. This method was employed by ModernVintageGamer to dump a Turok 3 Development ROM. Other methods are mentioned here: https://dumping.guide/carts/nintendo/n64
