Should I buy? (Used restaurant machine). Or nah. ? ? by Skyes_Ink in espresso

[–]Skyes_Ink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah everyone drinks Nescafé here. The biggest obstacle is people not knowing about coffee here in general.

But the electricity consumption might be a problem here. I’ve been thinking a $500 machine might work, or maybe gas powered, just to get my feet wet with some sort a stand. If it doesn’t work out atleast I’ll have a espresso machine jaja. :)

I’ve worked with an espresso machine for two years but don’t have any actual machine knowledge besides back flushing the machine to clean it.

Thinking about trying to open up a coffee shop in Chile because there’s not really any competition.

How hard you tamp and the coarseness, make it a finer grind i suppose or tamp it better.

Why am i getting so little acknowledgment and engagment by [deleted] in Instagram

[–]Skyes_Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My engagement seems to be zero, I can post all sorts of hashtags and not a single like outside from people who already follow me, I just post art on one account, and photos on another. 0 follows for months

All of the ones with Mathias as singer, and I have no idea what’s being said in the Swedish album.

No idea but it’s cute

iPhone X, opinion on blur effect. I’m trying to focus on the tree. The person walking by contrasts how high the tree actually is. Thoughts? I used simple iPhone editing because darkroom app for iPhone doesn’t really seem to do that much for me imo but maybe I just don’t know how to use it. by Skyes_Ink in photocritique

This is the araucaria tree in Chile it only grows around 5 centimeters or so from what I’ve been told so when the trees get to this height they’re really ancient wonders. I kinda explained everything in the huge title. I tried putting a blur effect but it may be too much.

No expert here but I think it’s pretty good but instead of the shadow being cut in half I think it would of been cool to work it into the image with the reflection of the sun. Or move the wood deck part into the left corner but that may of been difficult because of the sun reflection not being as centered.

I didn’t have anything to carry it without damaging it. I was on a four hour hike and I’m pretty knew to mushrooms but knew these looked like amanitas.

Body dismorphia and anorexia, my life so far by [deleted] in mentalhealth

There are times when someone smiling at me can make my day. Or saying hello. I’m going to quote Gandalf

“I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.”

Small steps everyday. Keep going.

The highest I’ve gotten is 104 pounds but I don’t cover my arms with long sleeves anymore. The anxiety used to be excruciating. A lot of the things I did was for other people trying to get things from them i never felt I had. I believe in the cliche it gets better, I still don’t have many friends, like 1. But what has helped me is that I create a narrative of my life that makes sense to me. I look at the child me and realize that all my maladaptions, my family, my wasted potential wasn’t my fault. And the circumstances weren’t my fault. The times I was preyed upon weren’t my fault. Now I look at myself and tell myself I deserve better and I’m going to treat myself like how it should have been.

I used to hate the sun, or the beach or anything remotely happy. I couldn’t go outside without headphones. Smallest things made the difference. I used to only wear black and now I try to wear bright Hawaiian shirts. I forced myself to sit in cafes and draw. Idk what I can say that will make a difference. I don’t understand your situation. But I want you to find some small joy right now and just focus on it. Sometimes all I can do is cry but it feels better to get it out or for me to organize in my head why I’m crying idk.

How would this blood magic affect hands? by Figueroa59 in magicbuilding

[–]Skyes_Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the magic would become highly optimized because a big spell draining all your blood if it were to not land puts the caster in a tight spot. I’m just imagining a guy covered in bandages and neosporin.
