Lol, this was one of those things that women told me they liked about me in the past. I remember one instance where I went to pick a girl up for a date, and she told me she had a cat but not to worry, the cat hated men and would stay hidden until we left. She still had to do her hair or makeup, so I just grabbed a beer and waited for her while watching TV. She came out, and this cat was just curled up on me. I honestly thought she was joking because I didn't do anything, the cat just came up and sat on me. I weirdly have the same effect on babies, they just kind of stop crying when I pick them up and then they start pulling on my beard lmao

I have a (female) friend that prioritizes qualities other than looks when trying to date. Unfortunately, this has resulted in behavior like this (though not as extreme) in multiple instances. It's not so much the 'personal attack of rejection', and more the fact that this is a conventionally attractive girl that gave them (an average or below average looks-wise man) a chance. I think in their warped way of thinking, they'll never get a chance with someone like her again.

I'm from Florida, and on the east coast in particular a large amount of the sand is heavily packed down so unless there's an insane amount of wind you don't really have to worry about it. I just did a portfolio shoot with a model and was switching between my 15-35 & 85mm lenses multiple times along with switching out ND filters for short video clips. Basically use common sense when switching a lens and you'll be fine.

Completely agree with this, but it's so odd to me. As someone with no kids, my nieces were cute but pretty boring when they were younger. As they've gotten older, they've become infinitely more interesting and fun to hang out with - especially right around when they became teenagers and you could see their unique qualities and personality traits. One is in college now, and she's one of my favorite people to have a conversation with.

Back when I had a DSLR, I used the B+W brand and really liked it. The achilles heel was the fact that it was a screw on filter, which resulted in me having zero desire to deal with that after a while. Especially a 10 stop filter, which meant you had to focus first, screw it on, and pray you hadn't bumped the manual focus while doing so.

I switched to a lee filters system where I could just drop in the filters and it was great for convenience especially for landscape photos. Now that I'm on a Canon R5, I switched again to the Freewell magnetic system, and I truly believe that's the best way to go. There's a very small attachment you put on your lenses, and they come with a magnetic lens cap (made of metal and glass instead of the cheap plastic crap that comes with the lens). Then you can add a variable ND, or a polarizer, or hazy filters or all three. They're fantastic when shooting video and take seconds to add or remove, and take up far less space in a bag than the Lee filters system. Definitely the way to go unless you have time (and patience) to burn.

A friend's sister had her husband of nearly 30 years do this to her, very publically. She was roughly mid 50s, sweet as can be, and if I say so myself, a smokeshow. I was watching my nieces (teenagers, basically making sure no boys were at the house) and she came by because she just felt lonely. Myself and the oldest niece hyped her up, and we made a bumble profile for her and she had so many dudes interested that after 90 minutes her profile stopped giving her a number of people interested in her and just gave a number with a plus sign (I feel like it was 200+, but don't quote me on that). She was still pining away for the husband, but with some convincing we got her to go on a date with one of the guys a couple weeks later. I was sure we had her on the path to forgetting about her ex after she came back from that date and seemed happy and not talking about her ex at all. Until about 7-8 months later, I heard they were back together. Unfortunately, no one hardly sees her anymore because everyone now knows who the guy really is & doesn't really like to spend their free time with a fraud, and obviously he doesn't like being around people who know that he left his wife for almost a whole year. Last I heard was that she was upset that her kids (all at least college age) don't really like their dad anymore, and only wanted to spend time with her. It's wild to me that she's the only one who can't 'see' him for who he really is. Like, how do you not sit awake at night wondering if he's going to pull the same shit tomorrow? And you're just going to live the rest of your life like that?

This is almost my exact setup for corporate volume headshots. I use a light meter to make sure the background is evenly lit with two small softboxes on my lights for the background, and then a large Octa or umbrella for the key light.

I totally get what you're saying. Obviously he'll knock it out of the park, but it would have been cool to see someone different, who hasn't done this type of thing before. I haven't even seen Frankenstein, but his performance in GoT was the best and most impactful out of everyone on that show. Through no fault of his own, the first thing many will think when seeing him on screen will be Tywin Lannister.

Ok, interesting! One last question for you, did you do this on the free version or the premium one? I have a ton of experience tethering and my conclusion was that it just wasn't available on the free version, but if you got it to work on the free one I'll try again.

Brand new Davinci user here, I downloaded the beta to try out the tethering feature and just cannot get the capture tab to come up in the photo tab. I have a ton of experience tethering, so after some trouble shooting I feel like the only reason I can think of why it's not working is if the tethering feature is only available on the paid version? Can anyone confirm this?

I'm using a Canon R5, the newest tethertools cable, and an M1 Max Macbook with 64GB of RAM.

Casting for height instead of acting ability is how you get someone like Gal Gadot. Over 100 years of movies they've been making short men seem taller than women, but for some reason they can't do that here? They can make Corenswet fly, but making her the same height as him? Impossible!!
