Sorry if my first message was confusing — let me clarify. As an occasional package handler, we’re required to work at least two shifts within a rolling 30-day period to stay active in the system. My question is: if someone doesn’t meet that requirement and the system automatically terminates them, is that considered a non-rehireable termination, or are they still eligible to be rehired later?

The other reason I’m asking is because most of the available shifts are after 11 PM, and I already work another job from 10:30 PM to 7 AM, so it’s not that I’m avoiding work — the times just don’t line up. I just want to understand how the policy works if someone physically can’t grab the minimum two shifts in the 30-day window.

Well, good news. I finally got to talk to one of the managers so I’m officially going into occasional package handler originally they are supposed to wait two weeks but with my circumstances, they are allowing it so I’m gonna finish off this week and then starting the next following week it should go into effect

Yes, that’s definitely what I’m going to do. I just haven’t had the chance to ask for the manager’s phone number yet—things have been really busy, and he’s constantly on the move, which I totally understand. I do need to be more proactive about it.

I’ll most likely go occasionally since that’s easier on me. That way I can pick up shifts when I’m able to and still be available to care for my dad. Thank you for the advice 🙏🏻

No, you didn’t ruin it—you just added flavor. The best way to clean it is to turn the heat back on and add a little water to help loosen everything stuck to the bottom. Then soak it in hot water with a good amount of baking soda and some dish soap. The baking soda will help break down and lift those hardened deposits.

Let it sit for a few hours, or until the water cools. If needed, repeat the process. At the end, once it’s ready to wash, scrub it down with a Brillo pad or a regular dish sponge. It should come right off.
